Cinderella’s Royal Table for boys? Which meal?

My boys will be 5 and 9 when we visit Disney World. We are considering trying Cinderella's Royal Table... is it also fun for boys or more geared towards girls? Also... is there a difference in terms of characters during each meal (breakfast vs lunch vs dinner)? Thanks!

I'm just passing along knowledge from others as I have not been yet, so I have no idea personally if it's fun for boys.

But, I know they give plastic swords to the boys and wands to the girls. The characters to meet are all princesses, and though they are subject to change (e.g. cannot guarantee Aurora/Snow White will be there, but it sure seems like they are for everybody's pictures), the line-up of characters isn't supposed to be different between meals like with 1900 Park Fare.

My son liked it fine at those ages. He got to meet a lot of pretty princesses who you could tell liked meeting a "prince" for a change. Yes, he'll get a sword. We got good pics. Eating in the castle is a special experience- we liked it for that reason more than for the princesses. There is a photo with Cinderella before you sit down, but you can tell them you want to skip that if they aren't interested. Dinner is the meal I recommend there.

We went for lunch with our 8 year old. He was iffy on it, but once Ariel showed up (DS has red hair like her) he warmed up. The main issue was how tiny the kid's meals were. We had to feed DS almost immediately after leaving.
