I'm deciding to splurge and book a reservation for Cindarella's Royal table, that same day I'm going to surprise my daughter with the bibidi bopity boutique(sure I spelled that wrong, lol). Just curious as to people's opinions on when I should reserve it for.
1st night or 2 would get it kicked off to a great start, maybe build up towards the middle, or save it for our last full day at night. I'm leaning beginning or end but can't quite decide.

I would do it at the beginning. The anticipation of it may fizzle as the days roll on.
Plus the hairdo could last for a few days, so she can feel quite princess like for much of her trip.

We always do it in the middle of the trip. She will be excited to just be in Disney the first few days, so then when that excitement starts to wear off, BAM! You get a princess makeover and get to go to CRT. We always do the BBB at around 10-11am then Lunch at CRT right after.

I would look at your park days and plan it for what is convenient to your touring strategy. I am not a fan of having an idea and then trying to make my plans work around it. I would plan your park days, and on the first day that you plan on being in the MK, book BBB and CRT. I would plan MK for earlier in the trip rather than later.

When my DGD was 4 we planned our first visit back since my own children were little. We arrived on Sunday and MK was on the Tuesday. We took her to the Barbershop, which was doing hairstyles back then, and then to CRT for lunch. For us, the timing was perfect, because she was so enchanted with everything around her that she had no interest in the attractions. We knew we were going to be back in the MK later in the trip so for us, it made perfect sense to enjoy her as she discovered the MK, and then walking into that glorious Castle after making our slow path down Main Street! I am not sure the experience woudl hae had the same impact on her had we waited til further into the trip.

I just made our BBB appt and CRT ADR yesterday for our January trip. I scheduled it for our first day at MK. I was worried if I waited until later in the trip my little girls might be tired and not quite as excited as they will be at the beginning of the trip.

I prefer it near the end, a special "last night" sort of meal event.

Note you may have more options when looking for an ADR towards the end of your trip, simply because the days earlier in your week were available to book for those arriving prior to you. If time of the meal is the priority, check out a few different days and be flexible if the first day is not available at an ideal dining time.

I would do more towards the beginning rather than the end. We are doing it on Day 4 but that's my daughter's bday so that's why we picked that specific day. We are there for 10 days so she'll still have plenty of the trip left after if she can keep the hairdo in. My word of advice would be this- You can start booking dining online at like 6am EST I believe but you cannot call and make BBB reservations until 7am EST so personally I'd make 2 different CRT reservations at 2 different times just to make sure you can get it to coordinate with your BBB reservation. For example, my plan was to try and get as close to 8am for BBB and then do breakfast at CRT after. Luckily I had made a 9:30 and 12 reservation at CRT because when I called to get BBB the earliest they had was 9:30. So if I would have only made the 9am ADR then I would have been screwed because that wouldn't have worked. Luckily I had the 12 as backup which works perfectly and then I cancelled the 9:30 as soon as I knew it wouldn't work with BBB. Or if you don't want to book 2 then just make sure you book late enough in the day.

was that at 180 days out? I know stuff books up quick but that's crazy for a dining reservation that's 2 meal credits. Regardless I'll be reserving at that time anyway, heck we made our reservations at 499 out bc we were so looking forward to going back

Yes, 180. I should clarify... I had no problem making the CRT reservations right at 6am but I'm glad I made the backup because my original time that I wanted to eat at CRT wouldn't have worked with my BBB reservation and I'm not sure what was available after 7 when I made the BBB ADR. So I had made a breakfast one which is what we wanted to do and a backup lunch one since I wasn't sure what time we'd be able to book BBB.
