We're planning our first trip to Disneyland next May. How busy are the parks on May 5? It's a Sunday next year. We only have 2 days at the parks, so if it's going to be crazy busy that day, I'll rearrange our plans. Thanks!

It won't be crazy busy for Cinco de Mayo, but depending on what happens next year with SWGE, I'd keep an eye on May 4th and 5th together. If DL does a SW themed event in preparation for SWGE opening or something like that, there could be crowds for that.

Keep an eye on the AP blockout calendar (found on the DLR website) when it comes out for 2019. Right now, Sundays are busy days because it's the only weekend day the lower APs get. Mondays are pretty busy, too, for some reason. Saturdays are pretty good. All this could change if Disney rearranges the blockout days. Also keep an eye on Grad Nites. This year they started on May 4th. Those dates usually are posted here as soon as they get published.

This Cinco de Mayo was super crowded because it was a Saturday and a grad nite. It did not help that it was 90 and humid :crazy2:

The posters above have very good points. Star Wars, no AP blocked on Sunday (so far), plus grad nites might make it a mess that weekend.
