Cigar Store Indian

When I was at the Magic Kingdom in April 2018 I noticed the cigar store Indian was missing on Main Street. Has the Indian been returned to Main Street? Why was it removed?

Probably for the same reason they changed the Redhead scene in POC. Political Correctness.
And from now on please refer to it as a cigar store Native American.

The one in Frontierland near Pecos Bill's is also gone. We took pictures of the kids by the one in Frontierland to show their growth from one trip to the next. Last Summer he was gone.

I'm thinking probably not, but---any chance the cigar store Indian was moved to the new cigar store at Disney Springs?

Oh no! I have a pic of my mom with the cigar store Indian from our 2016 trip. I hope he's not gone. I'll look for him on Tuesday when I'm in MK.

For the same reason the settlers cabin on the north side of Tom Sawyer island is no longer on fire (being attacked by Indians).

For the same reason that the pirates in POTC are now being chased by the women, rather than them chasing the women.

For the same reason the skippers of the Jungle Cruise no longer fire off cap guns, as part of the tour.

The Settlers, Pirates, and Skippers faced challenges and dangers...but they were no match for the PC police.
