Cigar smoking

There is a designate smoking area on each ship. I don't smoke, so I can't tell you where they are, but they are there. I suspect if you look on the deck plans on the DCL website you will find them.

EDIT - From DCL Website

Pre covid you could smoke cigars in the outside area of the Meridian on the Dream and Fantasy. Not sure if that's still the case though.

As others have said, you can smoke on the outside patio of Meridian lounge. We did so on the Dream last September/October. However, bring your own tools (cutter and lighter, if allowed under the luggage and carry-on rules). A cast member cut our cigar and it was not done well at all. Plus it took forever to light the cigar using matches and with the wind up on the deck.

Just answered your other post. Cigars at the Meridian last weekend. Excellent setting. I had it mostly to myself and my wife for the time we were there.

ended up here with the same question, couldn't find the smoking area. thx.
Q:
Are there designated smoking areas on board?
A:
In an effort to provide an enjoyable cruise experience for all our Guests, smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes) is only permitted in the following designated areas of the ships:
Disney Wish
  • Deck 14, forward, port side, any time
  • Deck 14, aft, port side, any time
  • Deck 4, port side from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Disney Magic and Disney Wonder
  • Deck 4, outdoors, starboard side from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Deck 9, forward, port side, any time
Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy
  • Deck 4, port side, aft, on the outside Promenade Deck from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Deck 12, port side, aft, the outdoor area accessible through the Meridian Lounge at any time
  • Deck 13, port side, forward, near Currents Bar, at any time
Note: Guests found smoking in their staterooms or on their verandahs will be charged a $250 stateroom recovery fee. This fee covers deep cleaning that includes air filter replacement, carpet extraction and the cleaning and replacement of drapes, comforters, blankets and pillows, along with verandah cleaning and maintenance.

Funny story: last year, on a Disney cruise, I needed a smoke break but didn’t want to expose my kids to it. I found a designated smoking spot, but it felt so out of place surrounded by families :D I switched to vaping since then. It’s much less noticeable and avoids the judgmental looks :)
Vaping still needs to happen in the designated areas, per policy.

I remember my first cruise, trying to figure out where to go, so this will indeed, definitely make things easier, lol. I also switched to vaping with the Spaceman Prism 20000, so It's been an interesting journey :) But ensuring a safe space for children should be the priority.
