I've seen so many posts about last minute trips to see the Osbourne Lights one last time...Is early December going to be absolute craziness?

I sure hope not! My trip was booked before they announced that this would be the last year for the lights. But I am worried about it too.

At DHS, the answer is probably yes. On the up-side, maybe the other parks will be less busy due to the last chance at the lights. :earsboy:

I think it all depends on when you are going. I can see people within a reasonable drive heading there on a weekend to see them - but even then - considering the cost of a one day ticket - it is a lot of money! We love Osborne lights - but honestly cannot imagine paying over $400 for our family to see them - let alone travel to get there. I also have a hard time imagining a lot of people heading there right around Christmas when crowds are at their peak if they were not already planning to do so.

So, while maybe I am way off - I think there will be a slight increase in attendance - especially on weekends - but nothing that is going to be horrible. I would anticipate larger than normal crowds for the last night when they are turned off for good compared to other years when the lights go off until the next November.

As word gets out to all the AP holders and locals, not to mention folks driving or flying in from all over to (1) see the OL one last time or (2) have never seen them and realize this will be their last chance, I imagine evenings in HS at SoA are probably going to be crowded. Yes.

I've had a trip planned for early December ever since March, but was going to cancel it because I'll be 6 months pregnant at the time. I'll admit, news about the lights is what nudged me to keep the trip. Then I started noticing all the posts about last minute trips...eek! I hope it's not too crazy...

We just went to WDW in April for 9 nights. After hearing about the lights, we planned a quick trip to WDW Dec 19-23 mainly to see the lights. We cant drive all the way down there and NOT go to MK, so we added that. Those one day tickets are killing me!
