We just booked a quick mid-December trip. We will surprise the kids with three nights at CC! No parks this time, except for MVMCP. Have not been at Christmastime in over a decade. Please share your favorite Christmas activities, places, or food. Kids are 10 and 6. I'd love to take a tour of resort decorations, but would love to hear from the Disney Christmas experts out there! 🎄🤶🎅

The Wilderness Lodge is one of the ‘big three’ for Christmas trees. The huge rock fireplace & grand lodge ambiance feels very Christmasy to me, so I always visit the WL during the holidays. The other lobbies with tall trees are the Grand Floridian (which also has the full size gingerbread house) and AKL Jambo.
The chocolate/gingerbread carousel at the BC is also a must see for me during the holidays. The easiest way to get there from WL w/out going through a park would be to bus to DHS then take the friendship boat at the front of DHS to the YC/BC.
Disney Springs has a Christmas tree stroll that’s worth a visit.
I haven’t done it, but I’ve always wanted to do one of the sleigh rides or wagon rides at Fort Wilderness, some of the campsites have great decorations.

The Wilderness Lodge at Xmas time is my favorite place to be! We stayed there a few nights after Thanksgiving the last two years. Last year, we stayed 4 nights and just did one MK day and the Xmas party. The resort was resort time and resort hopping. Loved it! It was so nice having time to enjoy the resort.

One of the best parts of our trip was heading over to Fort Wilderness. We did the carriage ride at 930(way too late for us but rearranged our trip and this was the only time available) We arrived at Fort W around 630 to eat dinner at the quick service and then the kids played on the playground for 2 hours. We also caught the fireworks while waiting. Our kids love the playground.

Thank you! Love your photos!
We are really looking forward to it. I hope to book a sleigh ride but it looks sold out online. I will call though! Also considered renting a golfcart to check out the decorated camp sites!

Slight correction that could be important - sleigh and/or wagon rides are at FORT Wilderness (the campground), not the Wilderness Lodge. But definitely something fun!

We had our Christmas trip last year. We loved the photopass photographers in the Lodge. We were there during Christmas week so I'm not sure if they were only there during that time. We enjoyed doing all different poses. The kids also loved doing some of the crafts they had available.

Oops, thank you - I’ve corrected my post.

WL is my favorite resort at Christmastime. In addition to the main lobby, the Carolwood Pacific Room in Boulder Ridge is wonderfully decorated.
