Christmas with the Mouse 2011

So since we decided to go to Disneyland during Christmas time and picked our dates that is all I can think about and talk about. I know I have 10 months and I am crazy whatevz.

Dates Dec 5-9, 2011 in park. Heading up on Dec 4 and hangin out in DTD that night.
Location: We are staying at BWPPI

Cast:

Currently going is me, DH, my sister and her BF

We will be driving to DL leaving early monday morning. We plan on doing at least 2 character breakfasts Minnie's and Goofy's.

So I have already purchased a few things for this trip:

Maleficent Lanyard, my other one is full it will come with incase I want to wear it.
Maleficent and Evil Queen in a tea cup pin

I bought Dh some pins. he loves Huey, Dewey, and Louie so I got him a few pins. I also want to get him a new lanyard when we get there. He currently has a Halloween one.

I bought my sister a Baloo pin because that is her favorite character.

I still need to start trying on shoes and breaking them in. When we went in October my feet hurt so bad. I think I am going to try some crocs and hope for no rain. I am also going to look into the Nike shox as well. I will also get some gel insoles for my current pair of tennis shoes.

I also got my $50 gc in the mail yesterday. I am going to put another $50 on it next month. I plan on getting $50 every month until we leave in gift cards to pay for food and what not. That way it is already paid for. I am also socking away some cash too.

All our recycling money as well as the peanut jar change go towards the trip fund. We also have our Disney rewards Debit cards that we use for everything. The reards will be cashed out at the begining of November to make sure the cards are here in time.

I have a long list of things I still need to get but I have time.

I am planning on doing something similar to your giftcard idea! We usually spend $50 per day per person (for food and souvies), so for our 6 day trip I'll need $900 saved up... so my plan is to start this year and keep adding to gift cards until I have that saved... I still have 22 months, which is a little more than $40 a month... if I do $50 a month then I can quit saving a little early--around the time I have to pay off the package that I can't even book yet! lol

Change of plans. We are going to head up on Sunday Dec 4. We will leave in the morning just not as early and cruise on up. We will then check into the hotel and cruise around DTD and have dinner there. I am sure we will probably end up at Rain Forest. I am also trying to talk DH into staying at GCH. We will see what happens. I will be keeping an eye out closer to the date for deals and see what I can do.

So today, I broke down and bought some Crocs off there website. They were having a large clearance sale. I will let you know how it goes once they get here.

We love Rainforest Cafe... don't have one anywhere near home, so it is a must when we go to DL. I know it gets mixed reviews, but we always go for lunch and have the best service!

Wow... shoes a year early... I am not a fan of crocs, but I do wear my Merrills water sandals most of the time we are at DL... especially nice for days we are planning to ride Splash or GRR. I'll switch to broken in tennis shoes one or two nights to give my feet a change of pace...

I purchased four different styles. I thought I would start breaking them in now. I wore my broke in tennis shoes last time and switched with some comfy sandals. My feet hated me for days. I am hoping that the crocs will help. I had asked several different people on the boards and almost everyone said crocs.
