O.k so now my husband thinks Christmas is a good plan......
I told him he was crazy....too expensive and too busy.
Is this right? How busy will it be and how expensive are we talking for cbr???as opposed to Nov. or January
I would prefer 10nights not at christmas to 7 nights at christmas....but? maybe christmas there would be magic.
Help me.......:santa:

Hi,

Christmas is busy (my husband will never go back at that time of year lol), Parks are filled and sometimes close when they reach their capacity, that happened to us. It is very busy and the waits for rides (unless you were there when they opened were very long. As far as the room rates not sure what they would be where your looking, but we stayed right before christmas until after new years, at the Swan & Dolphin it was around 250 a nite ( and that was with a discount for being in law enforcement), so not sure what the rate may be. Hope this helps. It is beautiful at Christmas, I would love to go but that won't happen (if DH has to go, my kids also didn't care for the crowds, but I was like hey we are in Disney!!). Good luck with your decision.

But have read plently about them closing the entrance to the MK because it was filled to capacity. We are not up for that, but if you are, then here's to wishing you and yours a magical trip:thumbsup2 We always go in the first two weeks of Dec. and get to enjoy all of the decorations, but not the Christmas Day crowds.

Try right after thanks giving to the 1st couple of week before Christmas. Rates go down on 11-25

Are you planning Christmas week or just at Christmas time? We are going down 11/30-12/4. I've been told it's a great time to go. You get the Christmas atmosphere with little crowds and a good value time.

Have a great time if you go! I have always wanted to go at Christmas, but I work in retail so I can't. Enjoy!

we visited wdw in the beginning of december and it was wonderful. The parks were not too crowded, the christmas decorations were all up, and the weather was beautiful. This is probably our favorite time of year to go, and we have gone in the spring, summer and fall. The prices are at value season in the beginning of December also.:santa:

WOO HOO! That's awesome! I posted a question to the WDW Today podcast panel and they said it's really a great time to go. It will be my first time down there at Christmas. Are you going to MVMCP? I'm probably going on the 30th. I'll be getting down there earlier that day.

Hello! I agree with previous posters that early in dec. is a perfect time. :santa: The decorations are beautiful, the weather is great, and the crowds are low. We went in '05 from the 9th-13th. This year however, we have to wait to go until the 19th. We are staying until the 24th. Looking at previous crowd estimates it seems that while there are more people coming to WDW than at the beginning of the month, there are fewer people during this time than the week between Christmas and New Years and the weeks surrounding Easter weekend, which were our other choices. And, as long as you check in by the 19th, you are in "value season", the cheapest time to go! I hope this helps, and just remember that any week at Disney is a good week!!

I have to agree with the previous posters. We go every year the first or second week of December, and for the past two years it seems that people are catching on and it is becoming more crowded. Although there seems to be no comparison to the crowds at Christmas week! I don't think you could pay me to go during the week of Christmas and New Year's, I have heard horror stories of people only riding a few rides all day. Why be miserable??? If you can - I suggest going in early December.

We plan on going the week before christmas. I can't wait. We had a blast at disneyland around that time. So we are hoping same at wdw.:santa:
