My family from the east coast is coming west for Christmas this year. They want to see DL decorated for the holidays. I KNOW it will be crazy busy. Is it worth going or is it too busy to even enjoy it?

My kids are in school until the 23rd so that would be the earliest we could go.

If we use all the strategies, can we still do enough to take in the magic? Or at least to adjust expectations.

Tell me I'm not crazy for even considering this.

FWIW, we will also be there the weekend before Thanksgiving. So, for my immediate family, we will have a weekend where we can enjoy it without all the crowds.

I would put it this way. Avoid the week between Christmas and New Years, it's the busiest time of the year. But if you have no choice, you have to take what you can get. Plan hard and make the best out of it.

PS you will see Christmas too during your November visit.
