Christmas week with a wheelchair

For anyone who has been to DL Christmas week, do you feel it would be possible to manuveur a wheelchair through that kind of crowd? My dad is concerned and is offering to stay at the hotel, but I don't want him to miss the fun and the sights.

I don't have first hand experience with Christmas - I do know friends of ours went last year on the 23 & 24 and said it was VERY crowded.
I have been on a day when they closed the parks as they were at capacity (I think this often happens around Christmas - but maybe more so the week after) and I would not want to try and navigate that with a wheelchair. We actually abandoned our rental stroller and carried our daughter because of the difficulty getting through the crowd!
Sorry, I'm sure that's not what you want to hear - at least this will get your question up top and maybe someone with more experience will answer.

My parents really want to see the holiday decorations, so I'd like to give it a try with a wheelchair. My dad can walk short distances, but his balance and coordination are poor. I have visions of him falling, but never hitting the ground if he's caught in a shoulder to shoulder crowd! lol

Also, will he see anything other than people's backsides if it's that crowded?

Would CA be that crowded the Sunday or Monday after Xmas? Is there much there that would appeal to senior citizens?

Anyone else with advise?
