Is it to early to start talking about everyone's December trips?

For me, I'm down 12/27 - 1/4 (at wherever I can find once Disney released AP discount codes for the period -- if any).

I love it. I was thinking about whether I'd do the same thing if/when I ever do a Christmas stay. Do the resorts allow live trees, or are you restricted to the artificial??

No it is never too early to start talking about it. My parents and I will be at FW from Dec. 20th-27th. I am arriving on the 19th (better flight prices) with my BFF and staying at AS Sports then moving over to FW on the 20th. I am excited as this is the first time that we have been to WDW at Christmas. It is also my parents first time staying on property.

Lucky .. I've been trying to get a spot at FW for a while now, and there aren't any campground spots anywhere. Not even in the "cobble together a night here and there by calling everyday" method I've used before.

This'll be my 3rd xmas week in the world. I'd love to go earlier in the month, but my schedule only allows the 26th - 5th.

Of course the parks are crazy busy, but I kinda plan for that by not expecting to do every ride in the parks.

This year, I'm hoping to end up on property for at least part of the stay .. last year was a motel offsite .. much more economical at $24 a night with tax, but not nearly as magical. (I'm a fan of getting up extra early for rope drop until afternoon, swimming/sleeping the mid afternoon and hitting the parks until late .. during xmas week that's almost impossible if staying offsite as the parking lots have turned people away on more than one occasion during that week. (I have a photo somewhere of a roadside sign stating "MK, Studios and AK parking closed").

We booked FW last July for this Christmas. I did get a Christmas morning reservation at MK (because that is one of my "things to do list" for this trip is to be at MK on Christmas morning). I got Crystal Palace for 8:10am. I also have two different reservations for Candlelight Processional. One for Christmas Eve and the other the Saturday before Christmas as my mom really would like to see Trace Adkins. I am thinking letting my parents have that reservation as just for the two of them. The rest of the week, I don't have too much I would like to do. I was just at WDW in February for a day and went to Epcot and MK.

I've seen the candlelight processional a few times, never done the dinner package though. I think it'd be more fun to be _on_ the stage than in the audience (I've done some voiceover work and various choirs).

I enjoyed it much more than some of the other shows I've seen on that stage .. at least when I saw the Guess Who there last spring, it was definitely a snoozer..

I probably should have learned by now to make my xmas reservations as soon as they open the schedule.

Only been in the parks on xmas day once. My favorite memory was at Wilderness lodge on christmas eve, with a large number of south american children getting seperate gifts from baby jesus and santa (and just the general atmosphere).

Not too early! I am super excited this year as most years I am there at least 4 times a year. Bought a new house this year and sold the old. So time consuming and expensive that December will be first trip this year. I can't wait - would have gone earlier but all DVC dates were already taken any where I wanted to stay. But i love AKL AND so this will be magical! Hoping to ride the new mine train ride in Fantasyland.:goodvibes

My husband and I will be going to Disney December 14-20. We have not decided where we are staying yet, but waiting for the special offers to be released, which I heard will be on Monday(if you have Disney Visa), and August 1st for everyone else. Any recommendations on moderate resorts?

Already booked Feb for 2 weeks after the new year in 2014, taking the RV down to FW so I don't wait for the discounts as there never are any.

We went the 1st week-into 2nd week of Dec in 2008 and we had a great time!

HI!!!!!:wave2: I will be at SSR 12/17-12/27 and most likely off property somewhere from 12/27-1/3. I have a BOG ressie for X-Mas Eve and a CP dinner ressie for Christmas night!!! I can't wait!!!:hyper:

I just ordered my MVMCP tickets for the 19th. My DBFF and I are staying at AS Sports for that night and then transferring over to FW for the rest of the trip with my parents.

I also changed our one ADR for Candlelight Processional. I had one for Biergarten on 12/21 because my mom LOVES Trace Adkins. I changed it to Rose and Crown for the same time and made it only for 2 people instead of 4. It is my treat to my parents. They don't know that I am giving them a gift card to cover the cost of the meal.
