Planning for next year. We have two options Christmas week or Presidents week (teachers and can only go these two weeks). Which would you pick? I believe both are peak weeks.

Have always done Presidents week never xmas

If you have any interest in the Christmas decorations or activities, then go then. If you're looking for lower crowds, President's Day Week.

I've always wanted to go during Christmas but probably during President week maybe less crowded.

I've never been on actual Christmas Day, but we usually arrive on 12/27, 12/28 and stay through New Year's and parks were way more crowded than in February for Presidents Day week. If you don't mind crowds and want to see decorations, I'd pick Christmas because I've found the weather is better than in February for us also. If you prefer lower crowds, President's week. I don't mind the crowds because I don't care if i get on certain rides or not

I don't think the parks are nearly as crowded for Presidents week like Christmas week. You don't hear about MK shutting down to incoming guests during February very often. You hear it al the time in December.

If you are looking for lower crowds, go President's week. We've done both and President's Week was much more manageable than Christmas week.

We have done 2 Christmas trips...week leading up to Christmas. And the parks get crazy busy on 12/24. Our in laws were down again this year (they did the other 2 times with us) and they said it was more crowded than the other times even leading up to the 24th. I have friends who went Christmas through New Year's in 2014 and they said it was a nightmare the whole time (packed like sardine can with several hour waits for rides). DH and I plan to go again, around the holidays, but we'd like to go the 31st to Jan 5. Or we'd go with our usual Dec 19-25. The 19th to the 23rd we hit the parks and get everything done and then on the 24th we have a nice family dinner at a signature TS place that is NOT in a park and we fly home on the 25th (our in laws fly home on the 26th).

If you're choosing based solely on crowds, go for Presidents Week. The holiday week is WDW's busiest of the entire year, and it's far more crowded than Presidents' Week, with park closures and traffic jams and sardine-can-like conditions in the parks.

For weather, I (slightly) prefer December to February, you can get some really surprising cold snaps in February. Or you can get lucky and it'll be in the 70s.

The upside to December, of course, is getting to see all of the holiday decorations and events.

I've done both. If you are a frequent P-Week visitor, a holiday visit will be a nice change of pace. In particular, the Processional had been on my bucket list for years, and seeing it live was well worth the effort.

But, as others have said, P-Week is definitely easier on the touring front.
