We have season passes that we activated in April. We didn't use them that much and I would like to use them before they expire next April. I was thinking of driving down to Florida with our family for the week of Christmas since my children have the week off. We have never been to Florida for Christmas week and I am sure it's crowded. Is SeaWorld doable Christmas week? We won't be going commando. Is there anything special there at that time of year????????

There is LOADS of theming; most the Christmas stuff takes place in the evening. IMO SeaWorld does the best Christmas in Orlando celebration. That being said; yes; Orlando in general is busy the week between Christmas and New Years. SeaWorld can typically close at capacity that week several days; they will usually open back up in the early evening once people have left from earlier. But I recommend going to see the Christmas stuff at SeaWorld; it does NOT disappoint!

SeaWorld out of all the park in Orlando absolutely OWNS Christmas. Their theming, decorations, and special shows are incredible. Special shows include "O Holy night -- a favorite and popular -- line up 45 minutes before it starts to get in. It's worth it. And they even have an outside ice skating show -- see that last show of the day and that's a good place to see the night time closing show. They bring in wonderful musician too for pre show entertainment. And everywhere in the entire park they have Christmas decorations -- the Sea of Tree is really cool too. Disney and Universal's Christmas theming is limited to a few spots. I can highly recommend visiting over the Christmas season. It was so good that even on our short week long trip last December, we devoted two days to this park. And these were our two favorite days on our vacation.

I've only been to SeaWorld once during the Christmas holiday (I didn't get my AP until Jan). But it is a spectacular time! SeaWorld really does a great job. I can't wait to go again this year!

We spent Christmas week at the SeaWorld parks in December 2012. Check out the link in my signature for my trip report, if you are interested.

SeaWorld on Christmas day was nothing short of magical. But from Boxing Day onward.....Orlando, as a whole, is a nuthouse. Pack your patience and be ready for MOBS and MOBS of people, everywhere!

We went to Sea World this past Christmas and it was great! I concur with all the previous posters that SW really does Christmas right! Look into dinner show packages that include reserved seating for the Christmas shows and also look into Quick Queue. Depending on what you want to do, these can save you a lot of time, no matter how crowded it is.

I wrote a trip report from our visit (sorry no pictures and NOWHERE near as good as Gina's reports);

cnjmom did a trip report around the same time and included many pictures:

We did not have much trouble getting around Orlando during the visit, but we stayed very close to SW and only ventured out one other time to go to City Walk. Plus we left town before Christmas day.

We did Not find SeaWorld nearly as busy or Orlando as a whole busy compared to spring break in March. As busy as it gets SeaWorld flows well. We Love SeaWorld Xmas we have Platinum passes and we are in northern Ontario. We went the last two Xmas's and booked to go this year.
