Hello!

Has anyone written any Disney Christmas trip reports they can point me towards? After some ideas of what to do and - most importantly - the weather! I'm guessing bikini not required?!!!

Ohhh I'd love to read some Crimbo trippies too!

I can tell ya on the weather def no swimmies needed LOL. We left mid Dec last year and it was too cold for me to swim but maybe you are braver than me? Jeans and jumpers for me but I am from the south ;)

Same question here. However being from Yorkshire we will be swimming every day as 15 C + is summer up here!!!

Ive never done a xmas TR but gone to Florida for the last 9xmas on the run:santa:

Weather can be lovely and only had 2 chilly trips, (although I consoled myself that it was still warmer than the UK), especially when lastyear we left Orlando which was 82' and arrived in Manchester to -9:scared1::scared1:

We always stay in a villa and have the pool heated so swimming is never a problem.

If anyone has any questions, please fell free to ask???

Last year was the coldest December recorded in FL history I thought?
It was certainly far from 82 when we were there earlier in the month. We were lucky to get to 70, most days it was between 60-65. You were really lucky!

No believe me I think is was either 2002 or 2003 cant quite remember which year but that seemed MUCH colder than lastyear :sad2: but that was just my opinion:confused3

We left on 30th and it was a blazing hot day :sad2:

Chatting with my friend who lives in Orlando I was mistaken. This winter was the coldest in 30 years but that runs Dec thru March. We were there til mid Dec last year and Feb/Mar this year so we must of caught nigh on all of the cold snap. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I went at Christmas last year, link below (Chilly's Fairytale)...

I didnt do a trippy as i never have enough time, one time i started i never finished it.....lol
We went last christmas, and it wa ssoo cold, dd had 2 hoodies on and a jacket one day and was freezing, i didnt pack nearly enough warm clothes!

We arrived there the 12th and was there nearly a month, and the first week was warmer...even just managed a water park one day, and the day we did Kennedy space station, it was very hot, but it all went downhill after that, we only saw rain on 2 days but it was cold.

We did Ice which the kids loved, will find some piccys for you later on, well worth a visit.

Any questions then just ask......

Hi, we spent New Years Eve 2008 in Disney, and spent the 2 weeks in lightweight trousers while my husband and son wore shorts.

Jumpers were needed at night as the temperature did drop, and despite the sunshine the water rides (Kali Rapids) were freezing.

No swimming for us, too cold, but fingers crossed that we can this year as we loved it so much that once more we will be there for New Years Eve.
