Christmas Tree!!

Not yet. All the Halloween decorations are packed up and the Christmas ones ready to be unpacked. Over the next few weeks we will slowly start decorating for Christmas. The tree won't go up until the beginning of December.

I put my mothers tree up last night at her house. We were up until 3:00am decorating it too. :headache: It was so beautiful that I came home and got everything out and ready. We put the tree together and guess what, our lights wont work. I just bought them last year too, they really should last longer than one season. Anyone know why they do this? Anyway, I am off to the store in the morning to find new lights and a few more decorations. I should have mine up and decorated by tomorrow afternoon.

Our DS has autism and just insisted that I get out to the shed and carry in 12 boxes so that he could watch me put up the tree and decorations. Now, I don't normal give in to doing exactly what he wants and right then because of the autism but it really was very sweet and he was so excited to have his tree up. He stepped back and said "it's beautiful!" Nuff said.

I also put decorations all around the house and our lights our up on the house. Other than wrapping presents, we are ready. I won't put the presents under the tree until Christmas eve. It is just too hard on him to see them and not touch.

Merry Christmas.

We usually put our tree (live) up the first weekend in December. We will be in WDW December 5-12th so, we won't be getting our tree until we get back. Probably the next day.
We keep it up until Jan. 2nd.

I love Christmas. I'm a little jealous of you all that are decorated already!

We put 3 up today. 2 3ft trees in both my daughters bedrooms, and 1 6ft in our bedroom. Have a corner tree, 7ft tree and 10ft tree, plus the house left to do. We normally do this the week of thanksgiving, but we will be disney then this year. So we are doing it all this week instead. :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: I just love christmas.

My son and I will be building our original chrissie tree during the first weeks of Dec. This year we are planning a 'tree' made of thongs (the kind you wear on your feet, we aussies love our thongs). One year we did a stick tree covered in skeletons. I guess you had to be there to appreciate the concept but my 82 year old very religious mum loved the concept although the in-laws were a little confused:confused3

Cheers Trish

We always put ours up on Thanksgiving weekend so for now I just make trips to Target and the mall to enjoy their trees. DH would rather we just wait until the week before Christmas to decorate so there's no way he'd agree to have them up now but I would if I could!

Cant stop laughing over this thread... I just said to my DH we should put our tree up for the holiday pictures... He told me I was nuts and Im rushing it like the stores!!! :lmao: I am glad to see that I am not the only one that wanted to decorate early!!! :lmao: but I am more jealous over the families that will be in WDW to celebrate! :)
(one day my wish will come true and I will be celebrating it with other families at WDW :wizard: )
