Christmas Tree question (in our room)

We will be staying at the Grand Californian from 12/22 - 12/27. I know about Disneyland Florist & Gifts, but CANNOT afford a $386 Christmas tree for our room.

I would, however, like to purchase a small (12") tree to decorate our hotel room with. Any ideas?

The best idea I've come up with is to purchase a small tree here in Georgia, and pack it in our luggage. Also looking for some light-weight, small DISNEY (of course) ornaments to put on the tree.

Thanks,
Yvette Johnston:santa:

Yes, I was going to post the same one as Crystal. As of yesterday, that tree was definitely for sale at World of Disney in DTD, and in the Christmas Shop in DL. Have fun!

I also recommend looking into the Santa Mickey tree. It's not very big, but it's cute. Otherwise, if you have a car, you might head down to Target on Harbor Blvd and pick-up a little tree there.

Ya'll are awesome! This will be our Christmas Tree 2014. And we can bring it home for future years... Thanks so much!

OK, I got a little nervous about the possibility of the tree NOT being available on 12/22, so I went ahead and ordered one from the Disney Store. A sweet "cast member" waived the shipping fee for me. I explained to her, over the phone, that we had already paid in excess of $5K to Disney for this upcoming vacation.

Thanks for all the posts telling me about the Mickey Christmas Tree. I can't wait to get it in the mail.

Yay!! I'm so happy for you guys and what a sweet cast member to pass along some pixie dust!! Have an amazing vacation!!!

$386 for a tree? Honestly, is that for one tree? Or a small forest, including woodland animals and santa? :faint:

I totally would've done the same thing! And it comes in the cutest cardboard tube. Shouldn't be difficult to pack.

I know I had a very small tree delivered by their florists a few years ago and it was not expensive at all. Check them out.

We always pack a small inexpensive tree into our luggage. This one was $15 from Wal-Mart. We bring a few small ornaments, then add a few that we buy in the parks.

When we have been to WDW over Christmas I have packed a small tree in our carry on. I made ornaments out of paper (used stickers and gift tags) and from pipe cleaners as these are very lightweight.
