I have a lady who comes every other week to clean the house. She does house cleaning in addition to her day job b/c she is saving up for a house.

I'm thinking I should give her a gift/tip for Christmas - I want it to be money since I know the reason she is doing it - how much would you recommend? I pay $42.50 each visit for a 2 bedroom, 1 and a 1/2 bath townhouse. Thanks for the recommendations!

We also have a cleaning lady come every other week. We give her one visits' pay as a holiday bonus/gift. I read somewhere long ago that this is what's considered "appropriate", but I'm interested to see what others think as well.

I'd probably give her an even $50 as a holiday tip.

(Wondering how come the lady who cleans my house doesn't get a tip? :smooth: )

I would give her at least one weeks pay, or round it up to $50.
