We went Christmas 2011 - All the deluxe resorts are decorated for Christmas & are beautiful. I would recommend a visit to each one to view the decorations. We did this by planning table service meals around each location. We ate at Cape May and went for a visit to Beach/Yacht/Boardwalk. Ate at Ohana and checked out Polynesian/Contemporary/Grand Floridian. We had dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe/ Wilderness Lodge very nice Lobby. We were staying at AKL - Kidani - They have great decoration along with the Main House at AKL - Jambo House. The best time to visit is after dark, then you get to see the lights on.
The park decorations are fab also. I really enjoyed the snow on Main Street at MK every night. It was spectacular. Most of the park decorations are at the entrance of each parks with other smaller decorations spread about. With the exception of Osborne Lights at Hollywood Studios & World Showcase at Epcot. Meet and Greet at Animal Kingdom in Camp MinnieMickey is awesome. All the characters are dressed up for xmas & have individual small trees decorated in their honor. Very cute.
We had a wonderful Gingerbread Cupcake at Hollywood Studios. I highly recommend it.
Epcot had marvelous decorations around World Showcase. Love the decorations in America and we enjoy listening to each xmas/new year tale. The voices of Liberty were awesome. They sing xmas carols.
Highly recommend the Candlelight Processional at Epcot.
Sadly, we missed Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I am sure it is fab also. I have heard great things about it.
Have fun & enjoy. We went the week of Christmas and it was packed to capacity. We had a great time but refuse to return at that time of year unless it is the first or second week of December.
Also, all the resorts have some sort of Christmas decoration & you can visit the others.
