Christmas time question

Hi guys! I know I'm being lazy and should just do my homework,but I need a quick answer to a question for a friend. Does anyone know exactly what day the Christmas season kickoff is this year? I know it used to be the weekend before Thanksgiving, but it seems like it was earlier last year. Thanks for your help!

Kittyskyfish - Too funny. Thank you for referring Disneyluvr2 over to my Christmas Superthread! (The first 3 posts on that page have the essential info, and then there are photos and info scattered throughout. I'll update as we get more info on this specific season coming in.)

You'd actually be surprised, though - in the Halloween Superthread, I also have the season dates in the heading so it couldn't be any easier to see, and some folks still don't see them and ask us when the season starts or ends.

November 14 is a Monday, and this is the first Monday in recent history - at least according to what any of us can recall - that has been an official start date of the holiday season. The seasons always begin on Fridays, so this is kind of new!

Thanks guys! I did see the Nov 14 date on the other thread, but thought it was odd since it was a Monday and kickoff usually starts on a Friday. I appreciate you help!!
