Hi

My family and I are going on the 18th of december to Caribbean beach club.

We have also got tickets for Mickeys Christmas Party in MK and the 14 day park hopper.

Has anyone been this time of year before we are preparing for epic lines and what not.

we are really excited to be going again and we have just finished making our reservations for the trip specially Xmas day which was hard.

We left the day you will arrive last year and the lines were manageable while we were there. If you can, make sure you see the Candlelight Processional. The best way to do this is to book one of the dining packages that come with reserved seating. Lunch tends to be cheaper than dinner and some of the restaurants are really good value. Make sure that you leave some time to visit the resorts to see the Christmas decorations.

We did our first visit over Christmas 2010 and are going again this year, day after you in fact. We love it. Yes the place is busy, but as long as you go with the right attitude, you'll have a great time. FP+ should be a big help. We alternated between early morning and late nights (not one after another) and just took it easy. The atmosphere is fantastic.

Don't miss the Osborne Lights or the other Resorts. In fact last time we didn't go to a park at all on Christmas Day, but we went really early for EMH the next morning and have 3 or 4 hours in an almost empty park.

And don't discount the water parks either, unless it's very hot, they'll be failry quite. But Ok for us lot that are used to more temperate climates

We've been 3 times at Xmas and had a great time. It is busy but its manageable, try to get to the parks early and you should get everything done. We usually leave the parks about lunchtime and by then the queues have built up. We have been to the waterparks every time and the temp has been fine and like someone else said they will be super quiet as its too cool for the Americans.

Thanks for the replies guys,

We recently just came back from Disney we went during the easter holidays back in april for our sons 5th birthday.

People was saying is was really busy but to us it was fine, like someone said we booked all our fast passes for the big rides and then if we happened to see one with a small wait time on the app we would head to that.

The reason we are going again is purely because we only went for a week last time it was a little bit spur of the moment booking but it definitely gave us the bug.

So we ended up booking for christmas the day after we got back.

Pad406/Jen I completely did not even think about going to the waterparks as we thought it would be too cold but I guess they don't call it the sunshine state for nothing, we didn't even go in april when it was hot as we was trying to cram everything in for the short time we was there.

We have tickets for Mickeys Christmas party on the 19th then on Christmas day we have planned to get to MK for the opening parade then stay there all day we have breakfast at crystal palace at 9:30 then we are just going to relax and use our fast passes and more than likely just go autograph hunting with the boy then we have a traditional Turkey meal at Liberty tavern at 5:30

Dolphingirl my wife and I would love to see the Candlelight Processional its on our to do list already. We are planning a couple of days in Epcot so we will catch it one evening

Thanks once again

Lee

We went for Christmas a few years ago and were surprised how 'quiet' MK was on Christmas Day. We started off with breakfast in Crystal Palace and then had a late Christmas lunch at Tony's. We were expecting it to be manic inbetween but it was much quieter than we'd expected, especially after a torrential downpour emptied the park! :thumbsup2 It was much quieter than we'd previously experienced on an Easter Sunday.

We loved the Candlelight Processional, our narrator was Whoopi Goldberg.

Have a fantastic time. :goodvibes

We have been 3 times for Christmas, and love it!

Weather wise - it can do anything! In 2006, in was beautiful apart from torrential rain on Christmas Day; in 2010, it was the coldest winter they've ever experienced; and in 2013, it was reasonably warm, colder in evenings! Just be prepared!

We found December 2013 busier than other years - as long as you are aware you *may* not do everything, you can't be disappointed! However, we have stayed offsite and did not have access for FP+, so touring would be different!

Not to miss... Osbourne Lights at DHS, NYE fireworks at both Epcot and MK :-D amazing!
