Hi All, just thought I would start another food thread, just what we need. But I was just curious as to all the Christmas themed food DLR has, please feel free to share photos too, that would be great. I can't wait to hear and see about it all, food, snacks, etc. Thanks a bunch.:goodvibes

They had a snowman shaped cookie to decorate in Woody's ranch last year. It was cute. 8 bucks. Maybe 6.

Mrs Claus came over and used toothpicks or something like that to place two minty candy cane candies in the shape shown here:

DS grew tired of placing things carefully which resulted in:

This is the box it and the "toppings" came in:

And unfortunately for DS and all around him (I've deleted the pictures showing his nasty mood that followed), the ingredients included the big "baddies" for him, and he had a massive meltdown flipout reaction over the next hour...sigh. (didn't know the label was on the box until days later)

Thank you for sharing Molly, that looks like so much fun!!! Sorry to hear about DS though, yikes!!!

Hoping to hear more about DLR Christmas time, it seems not many people post about their Christmas trips to DLR so I am sure hoping it is a very festive time at the DLR. Hoping for lots more photos and hearing all about DLR Christmas specials.

Also do all the napkins, popcorn holders, etc, are they all decked out for the Christmas season.:goodvibes

looking forward to seeing more!

We were there last Christmas and loved some of the special candies in the candy shop. I had a good Peppermint Latte, too.

But the best thing about our trip was the "Holiday Time at Disneyland Tour":goodvibes It went above and beyond my expectations! Loved our tour guide--he piped in Christmas music (thru his ipod) to our headphones, so while we walked from place to place we could enjoy it. At the parade we had the special seats and the hot cocoa and cookies. It was honestly my best vaction memory of all time.

We were there last Christmas and really enjoyed the Reindeer Roundup area. Like bumbershoot did, I also managed to snag a picture of DD9's cookie creation. I believe this was the gingerbread one and if I recall they also had a sugar cookie to buy and decorate.

I wish I could remember other Christmas treats but can't seem to think of anything else at the moment. :confused3

They had a gingerbread cookie? Yum! The sugar cookie was VERY good, by the way, and the cookie alone would have been fine. We might do it again in the future, but I'd make up some frosting and bring some safe sprinkles and health food store m&ms to substitute for DS.

It was BIG, too. He couldn't even eat half, and I brought the rest down to San Diego for the second part of our trip, which is why I could take the pictures of the box on brother's kitchen counter. :goodvibes It was still good, and the frosting was still squishy (which is scary if you think about it for more than a second), and I finished it when DS wasn't looking.:rolleyes1

That was the only holiday themed thing I really noticed for food. I'm not big on flavored lattes, just gimme the coffee and milk and we'll all be fine...so the peppermint lattes or mochas go unnoticed by me. And I didn't notice anything different about table-settings, though it was only early December at the time.

I'm giggling at the difference in cookie artwork between a 3.5 year old boy and a 9 year old girl.... :)

For other goodies, possibly seasonal, definitely check out the store and treat place beyond Pooh. They have a ton of stuff. Haven't had anything back there, but it's always packed!

I decorated a snowman cookie at Santa's Reindeer Roundup too! At first I tried to make it look all nice, but it just wasn't happening with the stuff I had to work with. It would have been nice if I had a piping bag or something. So eventually I gave up and created a cookie somewhat similar to Bumbershoot's son's cookie, only a little lighter on the sprinkles. :scared:

I loved the candy cane sprinkles, they really tasted like peppermint!

What a great idea to bring your own frosting and "safe" decorations like M&M's from the health food store! My DS can't have food coloring or preservatives so he is used to eating cookies, cake, etc. just plain without the extras when we are not at home. He loves the health food M&M's so I think I'll take along some of the things that you mentioned so that he'll be able to decorate the cookie when we go in December. Thanks for the idea. :)

Thank you for all the great replies, I can't wait to read more and see more. I am hoping for lots of extra special magical and festive things at DLR during Christmas.:goodvibes

Disneyland at Christmas is beyond wonderful. We never do the cookies at Woody's Reindeer Roundup because we don't want to pay the money, but it does look like fun. Santa is at the Ranch and gives out candycanes.

We have bought the big rice krispy treats in DL and DCA....they are star shaped and have red and green sprinkles on them.

As the previous poster mentioned, they have holiday fudge. We also got our popcorn in blue Mickey/Minnie winter-ey containers. And I think we got hot chocolate in similar ones as well.

I really think that Pooh Corner sells special holiday candy......or specialy holiday apples. I believe I have seen pictures somewhere online....

Prior to Christmas, although I think they do carry it through Christmas . . .

PUMPKIN FUDGE . . .

mmmmmmmmmmmm really, really mmmmmmmmmmm :cloud9:

This is starting to sound more like it, I am just basically hoping to walk into a winter wonderland, everything from popcorn tins, cups, ears, every little thing, I just hope it is all decked out for the season. Yeah!!! I hope they sell lots of merchandise too. The peppermint and pumpkin fudge both sound amazing!!! Can't wait!!!:goodvibes Please keep the stories coming. Oh and can't wait to check out Pooh's Cornor for their Christmas goodies.:goodvibes

Just thought I would give this a bump, can't wait to hear more.:goodvibes
