I am posting here to see if anybody has any creative ideas for us to surprise our kids with on Christmas morning. We have a 7 day trip planned & we will be leaving KS Christmas afternoon. We are not going to tell the kids about the trip until Christmas & we are thinking of the best way to surprise them. My wife wants to order Mickey ears with each of our names on them & have Santa bring that.

We are surprising the kids too at Christmas and leaving New Year's Day:cool1: This is what we are doing; We aren't buying them much since we will be getting them stuff at Disney but we are getting them Disney shirts and other Disney stuff. Everything they open will be Disney, except the new luggage that we desperately need. Then the last box, a big box will have a Mickey balloon in it with a sign attached saying "We're going to Disney in 7 days!!!" I want to just wrap the box and not have the cardboard on the top, just the paper and I want to cut it open and have the balloon float up with the sign. That is how we are planning on it happening. That's just what we are doing.

If your children are young and you still leave milk and cookies for Santa - you could have a Mickey cookie appear in the morning and have a note from Santa asking them to give it to Mickey Mouse in Disney World. We are surprising our kids too but leaving a week before Christmas. We are still not sure how we are going to surprise them yet.

I love that idea. The kids are 5 & 7.

I did this a little different way. I had a box that had a top (I think it was a banana box). Wrapped the top separately so DH could take the lid off, balloon floated right up.

Check out YouTube (type in "Disney Christmas surprise" or "Disney surprise" as the search). Parents (both on YouTube and on the DIS boards) are so creative! Some of the videos brings tears to my eyes!
