Christmas special taping?

Does anyone know if they will be taping the Christmas parade for the TV special on Saturday 12/6. IN 2001 we were there on the first saturday in December and they were doing it then. We wanted to know to try and avoid the crowds.

Not sure of the date this year, but know it was around that first weekend also last year.
