Please tell me I'm not the only Christmas slacker around here.

We don't have the tree up yet, haven't started buying gifts yet, and haven't even begun to think about the big day.

Tis the season to procrastinate!

Hmmm.. Still plenty of time for the tree and decorations.. Remember - years ago people used to put those things up on Christmas Eve - and, you can leave it all up till "Little Christmas" (as we called it - Jan.6th)..

No gifts? Not a problem - because you will likely get 2 to 3 times as much for your money this week as you would have otherwise.. Places have even marked down wrapping paper and ornments already too.. Plus - your number of shopping days are very limited now - which means additional savings!!

See? Not such a bad thing after all..:santa:

I have finished decorating, but I havent done any shopping at all. I probably wont even get a chance to until Thursday night. But at least I only have five people to shop for. The whole thought of it though is stressfull!

My decorations are up (& a little overdone!)

I've done no baking. No wrapping and I'm not done shopping.

But my house is clean! (that's what $100 will get ya!)

You must have very low blood pressure because if it were me.........:scared1: I shudder to think how my family would deal with me.

I bought most of my gifts and my mom put up my tree for me Saturday. DS undecorated it all on Sunday!:rotfl:

The kids gifts is not wrap yet at all. Okay might daycare tomorrow for a few hours so I can wrap gifts.

I only have some red and green spotlights on the outside of my house, and a tiny tree up (less than 3 feet). Don't fee so bad.

We bought our tree yesterday. It was slim pickings! Big bare spots and everything! We put it up yesterday but it's not decorated yet. SOme gifts bought. Nothing wrapped. I don't plan on baking because my husband and I don't need to be eating the stuff. If stuff doesn't get done, oh well. We've scaled way back over the years because it's just not that important to us.

Thanks for the pep talk, C. Ann! :thumbsup2 We've had many years where we didn't put the tree up til Christmas eve. No reason other than procrastination. I've never been one to shop early either.

Now I've got a wicked cold/sinus & ear infection. Hopefully get over it soon so we can have our marathon shopping day.:headache:

Don't feel bad. We put up our tree last night and I haven't wrapped anything yet. Luckily, I'm not hosting this year. It will all be fine. . .I find I do best under pressure.

Slacker? Nah. You are a victim of commercialism.:lmao:

My tree is up and it is a pre-lit tree. However we are not decorating it. Now that is pure slacking.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. We haven't put up the tree yet. My family just feels "eh" about the tree.:confused3 Just being together is what we enjoy.

My kids each have a mini tree. That is it for this year. I am doing my shopping tonight. I have never been such a slacker.....My kids are being troopers though...Life..It happens..

That is me too, you would have to sedate me about now if I still had all of that to do! I really do envy people who can be that low stressed, I think my doctors would love it if I could be more like you!

It is a gift.;)

Seriously, this season is just not about celebrating for us. We are going very low key on purpose.

Awww Mushy, hope you feel better soon . DH's family never put their tree up until C'mas eve :goodvibes. When DH & I were raising a young family, there were some C'mas' we didn't have a penny for shopping till C'mas eve. But somehow we were always blessed to come through for the little ones in the nick of time and always kept the reason for the season alive and well. :flower3:

You are not a slacker and don't worry, no matter how late you are Christmas will arrive right on time;)

Have a great chrissie.
