Christmas Ressies for 2008-Chances for Boardwalk?

Hi,
My Aunt's home resort is SSR. For Christmas 2008 (we're planning *way* early ) she would like to book a 2 bedroom at either BW,YC, or BC with her points. We know she can only book these 6 months out..but it looks like they are all taken already for this Christmas . Is this common? She's going to book at SSR 12 months out, so at least we have something,but, we'd really really really *love* to stay at one of the Epcot locations. What are our chances of actually getting our ressie? .

PS There will be 8 of us or maybe 10 if my folks go too. 5 adults, 2 12yo and 1 5yo. I can't believe my screaming 2 year old will be 5 next time we go to the world

She can put her name on the waitlist at 7 months out. With it being one of the busiest times of the year, the odds are not in your favor. It is worth it to try and waitlist though. If you are a little flexible with your dates and go earlier in December, your chances become a little higher.

Also, if you have the 10 people, you will need more than one room, which will probably make your attempts even less likely. With the 8 people, you will fit just fine in a 2 bedroom.

Ithink your chances are very small. By 2008, there will be even more DVC members trying to stay at one of the smaller resorts during December.

If you have your hearts set on BCV or BWV, you should rent some BWV points and make the reservation as soon as you can after the 11 month window opens.

The earliest she can make a reservation using DVC points at her home resort is 11 months from check out.

I agree rent from a BWV owner, or try to make a deal.
