Christmas Reservations

I need to reserve a 2bedroom Savannah View room at AKV's for the week of Christmas. Check in will be Christmas day. How hard will it be to get if I call right at 11 months out? I am just wondering because I know most people will probably be checking in before Christmas day and I don't want the rooms to be gone before I even get the chance. Has anyone reserved this before and did you have any problems?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say at 11 months you should be able to get what you want.

I was able to get AKLV 1 bedroom savannah view in Jambo house for 12/26-12/30 this year at 7 months(switched from OKW-home resort) with no problems. I had tried in the past 2 xmas trips and was not able to switch even waitlisted, so I was thrilled. LOved the resort!!

Thanks! I haven't traveled during Christmas week before and I wasn't sure how fast it fills up.

I think you should be good. We noticed on our Chirstmas trip, we were there from 12/18-12/26, that from the 23-25 it was quieter. Seemed that we saw a lot of people leaving a day or two before Christmas. Now when we were leaving on the 26th we saw a bunch of people checking in.

I think you should be ok just as long as you call at the 11 month mark. Even waiting the 3 days in you "might" be ok. The only problem I can see with this year is that Xmas falls on Sunday and a lot of people like to arrive and start their vacations on a Sunday. So I'm not sure if this is something that will affect the reservations or not. Again it's Xmas day so you probably do still have a good chance. Good Luck!!
