I know this is early but things around here are always crazy in the fall so I want the main parts done by then.
I want to do a series of children's sermons about the Christmas tree and Chrismons (ornaments that are monograms for Christ's names). With each 1 I want to have a nice ornament that I make for each family in the church to take home (I need to have about 30 of each).
I need something for each week so I am trying to think about what kind of an ornament I could do for each thing:
First week: Trees, Light, Candle- I have thought about making a nice decorated tree with my cricut (out of cardstock)
Second week: Crosses, Fish- symbols of Chirst- I am using plastic canvas to make crosses for everyone- about half done with the insides and then I need to do the edging
Third Week: hearts, dove, anchor, - I am think about using transparency of shrink plastic to make hearts- decorating them with alcohol inks- I know I can cut the transparency on the machines- not sure about the shrink plastic
Fourth Week: lamb, Shepard's staff, crown, shell, trinity, alpha/omega - I was thinking maybe SHepard's Staff's out of tribeads
Everything has to be in whites/silvers/gold as that is how the Chrismons are done. Does anyone have any other ideas of things that could be done on a large scale not to hard or expensive yet still nice enough that people would put them on their trees at home.
I am not locked into what I do each week so I can do something for any of the symbols mentioned.
