Am I the only one who is already planning meals for christmas in WDW? If you are already thinking about christmas where are you planning on making ADRs for christmas or New Years?

You aren't the only one!

I have 8 of my 10 ADRs picked out and my kids have already started looking at the menus!

Nope. You're not the only one. I have a spreadsheet with the restaurants and times we want. Just waiting for the 180 day window to open. I'm glad we had reservations this past Christmas. It was very busy. I saw many walkups being turned down or told to come back late.

I'm planning for Christmas as well. So nope definately not the only one. My only problem is we won't know till next week exactly what days we are staying at Disney so I can't match days to restaraunts yet.

Me too! Waiting and planning and waiting and planning!

Anybody have any good ideas for Christmas eve dinner and Christmas day dinner?

Anyone know any good restaurants in DTD that will be serving New year dinner? Are there fireworks in DTD??? I wanted to stay out of the parks on NY eve and NY day...

You certainly aren't the only one. We are thinking of Le Cellier or Coral reef for Christmas Eve with the Candlelight Processional Dinner package and Liberty Tree Tavern for Christmas dinner. Like mentioned above just waiting for the 180 days to call for ADR's. This is my first trip in a long, long time, is it true you can book all ADRS for your stay when you call 180 days out from arrival day?

ME TOO ME TOO. We will be there Dec19-30 and I have all my rest for TS picked just waiting for park hours to pick days except for Garden Grill w/ Candlelight Processional on Christmas eve ( It can't be Christmas without the Christmas story on Christmas Eve.)

I am glad I am not the only one thinking already! I am not sure where to eat though. I am going to be there for christmas and new years but I am stuck on where to eat for christmas eve, christmas, new years eve, and day!!! Also how do you make the ADRs 180 days out when the special holiday menus are not put out that far in advance? I want those meals to be very special for us! Can anyone share with me the best places to go with family? I know that I want to do the CLP on christmas eve. I am thinking about cape may for christmas breakfast. But beyond that I am stuck!

We are too! Where is everyone going? We are thinking about Mama Melrose's Raglan Road, Yachtsmen Steakhouse, and Jiko so far. Where else should we go? Money is no object as we already have the premium dining plan.

We are also planning and have all our places to eat already picked out, can't wait to make ADR's. We are still a bit un~decided for Chrsitmas Day though.

Our main problem in deciding is we don't know the exact dates we are going to be there yet. We know we are going up the 19th, we just don't know if we are leaving the 24th, the 27th, or the 3rd of January yet.

We are likely going to do the candlelight processional dinner (though we haven't decided which restaraunt yet), Artist Point, Raglan Road (possibly), Todd's English Bluezoo or Palio (maybe), and possibly Boma or Jiko. Which have been decided so far, but we are also half waiting on our August trip to see if any of the places we go then are places we must return to because of the food.

My DH and DS will be at WDW December 19-31, with me joining them very late on the 22nd. We put together our plans over a month ago, just as soon as we booked the trip. I'm anxiously awaiting the 180-day mark (which happens when we're at Disneyland, to boot).

The plans at this point are:

Saturday, December 23--Family Magic Tour at MK in the morning; Spirit of Aloha Luau at 5:15 (Already booked both these!)
Sunday, December 24--Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner
Monday, December 25--Chef Mickey's for dinner
Tuesday, December 26--50's Prime Time Cafe for lunch
Wednesday, December 27--Garden Grill for dinner
Thursday, December 28--1900 Park Fare for dinner
Friday, December 29--Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre for lunch
Saturday, December 30--Whispering Canyon for dinner

It's funny how with every trip, it becomes more about the eating. On our first family trip 3 years ago I think we had two ADRs. Now we're up to one every day (which may turn to two one day this trip if the Pixar thing ever opens!)

Now...if only Disneyland had nearly as many delicious choices and the window for reservations was more than 60 days!!!

We chose Chef Mickey's because we're planning on going to AK that day. Two years ago we spent Christmas at MK and it wasn't busy at all, but that may have been because of the heavy rain all day long and cold temperatures. I'm also hoping to change reservations from POP to CR if they release any annual passholder rates through December 19, the last day of value season, when my DH and DS are arriving.

I'm doing my planning as well. Can anyone tell me if Raglan Road has a children's menu? While everything on the menu appeals to me, I have a five year old, who's still pretty picky. She would probably be happy with a burger or chicken or even some type of pasta. When in Disney, I try not to fight with her about food or trying something new because she tends to get pretty upset and Disney is not about being upset.

LOL - I have already e-mailed my list to the concierge IPO so that they can book the ADR's as soon as the window opens :)

I finally have some ideas for christmas! Here is what I am thinking CP at epcot for christmas eve dinner. I am not sure what restaurant yet! For christmas I am thinking about crystal palace for breakfast and LTT for dinner. What does everyone think? I am trying to keep it fun for our DC. But I want a good meal too!
