Christmas PARTY

I have a December trip booked with my husband and 3 teenagers we have been to the holiday party before when they were very little. I was wondering if I should take them again I am a AP holder and really do not want to spend an extra 600 for this party. Will we get to enjoy the christmas decorations or am I really missing something here I remember when I went in 2007 I thought the Halloween party was much better.

Sounds like you're already leaning towards not going.
Personally I love it but that's just me.

You'll see all the same decorations during the day, and you can buy plenty of cookies and cocoa for less than $600. It's really a question of whether you want to see the special entertainment (shows, parade, fireworks, etc.).

Personally, I'm a fan of Disney having the parties because I can go enjoy really low crowds during the day on party days, lol. We can ride everything we want before 4pm generally.

I'm not a fan of hard ticket parties for many of the reasons JK World outlined yet given the ages of your offspring think they are at the best age to enjoy them. Is it worth an extra 600 bucks? Probably not but one can always rationalise.

I'm a big fan of MNSSHP. Other than, perhaps attending the special events at Ft. W, I feel it's the only time place you can really celebrate Halloween and get the Halloween "vibe" at WDW. MVMCP is another story, IMHO. WDW goes all out for Christmas across the entire resort - the resorts, restaurants and all the parks are gorgeously decorated. There are holiday events that are included in your ticket price at EP and DHS. There are delicious holiday snacks throughout the WDW resort as well. I feel like I can get a lot of Christmas throughout WDW without spending anything extra on the party. If meeting the special party characters, seeing the parade and the fireworks are important to you, unfortunately, shelling out $600 for the party is the only way to see them. If you simply want to experience Christmas at WDW and still participate in special Christmas activities, you can definitely do that for no extra cost in other areas of the resort.

I did the same, however I just used it for our additional OOP dining. I like the party but with 7 of us it is not the easy decision it used to be. I actually book dinner to time with the fireworks display so we can enjoy that aspect.
