Christmas Party ideas

Dh and I are having an adult only Christmas Party on Friday. We have a great group of friends and it's always a lot of fun. We bought some prizes to give away but we aren't sure how to award them.

We are doing a gift exchange and not all the gifts are desireable so we are going to award one prize for the person who gets the worst gift- we don't want any unhappy guests. How do I give away the others?

ANy other ideas for some fun activities? What's your favorite appetizer?

How about awarding the person who came dressed the most festive??


Or what about having everyone with a holiday type pin, or something and pick a word that can not be said through out the night. If someone can get a person to say that word that person can take their pin...or whatever. Who ever has the most pins at the end of the night wins!! Something you can use....a ribbon with a jingle bell on it...they can just slip them over their heads....and they would be fairly inexpensive to make.

Just had my Christmas Bunko last night.

The theme was Christmas Movie Classics Trivia.

My trivia questions were characters and then they had to guess the movie.

The price was an ornament from Christmas Story (the leg lamp) and a wal-mart gift card with the Christmas Story scene on it.

A take off on this idea, you and your DH pick a somewhat obscure word, don't tell anyone, and when ever you hear that word, had someone a gift. Just hand it to them and walk away. At the end of the evening if someone can guess the 'word' they get a prize. Pick something that doesn't come up in every day coversation but had a good chance of showing up at your party.

Wow, you guys are so creative!! Great ideas...I would just put stickers under their drinking glasses and whoever gets a sticker...as you can see, I'm NOT creative!
