I have a "dining package" at Plaza Inn with "seating" but not until Dec. 5th.

There is no seating for the dining package. You can get a curb seat if you get there early enough but the rest is standing room.

Thinking of booking a Plaza reservation. Which parade do you get a reservation for? Trying to see what time I should try for dining. Thanks so much and thank you to the poster about the disappointment of the holiday tour. I was planning on booking that and will now use money elsewhere.

I think I saw it said if there are 2 in a day the dining package seating will be for the second showing

The package at Plaza is for the second showing, yes.

I very much liked the food, everything was very tasty.

Just a heads up, someone recently posted a video on youtube about their experience on this tour. His review is very thorough and does not mention any spoilers.

Fwiw his views of the tour are pretty commensurate to mine.

They had the same offer for MSEP and no seats were ever added. I doubt it happens this time.

I was watching the Walker Chronicles live stream yesterday and they just completed the Holiday Time Tour. Looks like they moved the reserved viewing area for the parade next to the matterhorn instead of on Main St.. Way better viewing area IMO. But still no actual seats. Bummer…

Yes I cancelled it, and the entire visit actually. I had an over the top annoying 16 hour debacle trying (unsuccessfully) to purchase APs. So I’m tapping out of Disney until customer service returns.
