Christmas Parade Taping?

So from what I have read, the taping this year is Dec. 1-3. We are arriving on Dec. 2nd and planned to do Epcot in the afternoon and head to MK, which is open until 11pm that night and we were planning on doing some rides, getting a CS dinner and seeing the 10pm Spectro.


Does MK get super crowded on taping days? Will it still be bad in the evening? Since it will be our first day in the World (and a very long one) I really don't want to fight crowds the first night.

Saturdays are always busy in MK...add the parade/perfomance tapings, and you get even more people. But, I have to say that last year, I got to MK about 4:30ish and it wasn't bad. Yes, there were a ton of people in there, but it wasn't as bad as other times I've been on a Sat. Go, be prepared to be with a lot of people and you will be fine.

Thanks for the info. I think we may get dinner elsewhere and get to MK later than planned, like 7 or so. Enough time to do one or two rides, then plop down in Frontierland for Spectro.
