Christmas parade taping.

I tried to get an answer off tgm site for this, but no luck. so i thaught id try here.

Does the taping of the parade start on the saturday of the fist weekend in dec or does it start the friday of the fist weekend in dec? Just wandering. Thanks so much for the help.

If I remember correctly, it was on a Saturday last year. Hope that helps!

It starts on Friday.

Starts on FRiday morning, goes throughout the day, the actual 'parade' taping starts on Sat, addtl filming on Sunday. They had people contact them, through a website to get vouchers for park entry very early in the morning. A lot of standing around, doing nothing. Same thing for the parade shooting..watch a float, yell, cheer, look dopey, then the float goes backwards and you do it all again...over and over and over. I was at the Castle for Brian Setzer's number last Dec...it took close to 3 hrs to get that done...by 11:00, my back was screaming, my knees were frozen in place. The families with the little kids started leaving after about 2 hrs because the kids were getting so nudgy.

It was on Dec. 5 last year, but don't know the day. The rest of MK is pretty much empty during the parade tapings.

Im glad to hear that the rest of the mk is not busy. I was worried because that is the day we are going to mk, but we didnt want to do the parade taping. Glad to hear that we should be ok. Thank you so much for all your help.
