Well, what year? That matters because some years the first Saturday in December can be December 6.

The parade is taped on and around the first Saturday in December so it's very possible some portions can be taped the days leading to that Saturday or after.

They usually do the celebrities before and after that first Saturday in December and the floats are done on that Saturday, weather permitting (one year it was bumped to Sunday due to a blizzard in NYC).

Yup, both those things happened in 2005 (or was it 2003? I forget!). The parade was (supposed to be) scheduled on December 6, which was the first Saturday in December. And then there was a big bizzard in NYC that weekend, preventing Regis and Kelly from getting out on time, so it got moved to Sunday.

It was 2003! I was there! We got snowed in Florida (poor us) and decided to do another day at MK while we were stuck (we're from the Boston area) there and the float portion was being taped that Sunday because Regis and Kelly were delayed.

That was Saturday, December 6, delayed to Sunday, December 7.

Can anyone tell me when they air the show? The kids don't know that we are going this year and I'd like to tape it for them to watch and say "aw too bad we can't take a trip to see it!"- I know rotten mother! LOL the morning we leave we're going to wake them at 4 am and say you're going to WDW NOW!!!! Thanks in advance!

It's traditionally shown Christmas morning around 10:00a although 2 years ago it was played in the Boston area at 3:00a!!!!

i got this info from "blizz" over at wdwmagic forums. unfortunately, it does not state who will be performing at which park:

"The parade will tape in Disneyland on 11/10/07 and 11/18/07.

The parade will tape in Walt Disney World on 11/30/07 and 12/1/07.

I had originally made plans to be in the MK on DEC 1st. I even made my an appointment at the BBB for 5pm. Now I know that the parade will be taped that day. At first I was bummed but then I decided my daughter would like to see it. So I looked up some info on random Discussion boards. I have heard that in order to even see it you have to register and get tickets with lightshiptv.com. I went to their web site and they don't have anything up and says it is coming soon. BUT its only 40 days away. Not much time. Does anyone know if as we are walking through the park can we see it or is it all blocked off and if we do decide to watch the whole taping do we realy need tickets? I am so confused on the whole process. I hope there are some parade vets that can give some details on how it all works.

That website isn't the most reliable. It's part of Wikipedia which is not always very acurate.
