I have 3 daughters (6, 4 and 2) and 1 son who is now only 7 months old.

I have always bought them matching dresses for christmas (not the boy, he'll get his own little special shirt!)

We are going to WDW for christmas this year (Dec 15- 30)

Do i buy them warm winter dresses for our canadian winters or light dresses for christmas in florida?

Whats the weather like in December?

also, thinking i might like to buy some boutique outfits so that they match (even the boy!) do i look in ebay or is there some other site that does this?

Ideally, I would recommend something in a jumper style that could easily be layered; that way whatever the weather you'd be prepared, plus, you could still wear it in Canada. I would also recommend probably a cotton shirt underneath for Florida in case it is warm, which it often is, but with a cardigan or cape that could be layered on top if needed. As far as customs, Etsy is also an excellent site for handmade customs. And many sellers can do something coordinating for all the children.

I highly recommend outfits that can be dressed in layers. For example, I plan on making my daughter an outfit utilizing a jumper style dress that can be worn alone, or be worn over a knit long sleeved shirt and leggings. I will also probably make her a red velvet cape with a hood in case it gets really cold (for MVMCP). I will have gloves packed as well.

It is impossible to predict what the weather will be like so I'm trying to do versatile outfits.

For customs you might want to take a peek at the Disboutiquers thread. Some of the folks on there make customs. They can't sell via the thread but if you like something someone makes you can always pm them and find out if they sell on ebay or etsy. Etsy has some awesome customs. I ordered my dd one that I didn't feel I was capable of making.

We had some darling sets made for our DDs to go to MVMCP last year. I found the designer on Etsy. She made them as cotton pants and a halter top, appliqued with the fab 5 celebrating Christmas.
We live in CT so for the holiday at home I put tights and a long sleeve tee underneath and they looked great!

Just a warning- I had several cute holiday type outfits for DD to wear at WDW in December last year that I thought would look good in pictures. I had been to WDW in December before. When I was there, you could wear long sleeve shirts and pants during the day, and then maybe a sweater with it at night. The day before we went last winter the forecast looked like that would work great. The day after we arrived there was a heat wave the forecasters had missed and it was between 82-86 degrees the entire week. We all had to buy T-shirts and wished we had shorts. We didn't even want long sleeves at night. It didn't matter much because after the 1st day DD (2 yrs 10 mths) insisted on wearing her Cinderella dress all day every day for the rest of the week, so I never would have gotten anything else on her anyway. We heard the week before everyone was freezing and wearing sweaters and coats. You just never know. Be prepared for anything.

I personally do matching Tshirts for our Trips but during the Christmas season we are there 2 times a week so I like to dress in layers. Especially since the weather is so wonky here. Sometimes I do a Jon Jon for my son with a Tshirt or Turtleneck underneath. And sometimes its a Christmas Shirt with a Jacket. I always keep a holiday themed Jacket close by so that I can use it if the weather turns. It's harder to find cute boy Christmas outfits than girls so I frequent Ebay and look for them. Hope this helps.

Isn't our Fl. weather great! I agree on layers! I also would suggest shopping around when you get there! There are SO many shops, stores, & outlets in Orlando.

I'm so worried about packing for our trip! I always feel like I over pack, but I feel like I have to take more just in case for the weather!!! We are planning on layering as well. The Christmas dress(jumper) I have for Avery is able to be layered easly so that's our plan for Disney and Christmas!!
