Just wondering if I'll be able to buy ornaments onboard? We'll be cruising Oct 21, 2006, so it'll be getting close to Christmas.

Yes, there were three maybe four different ones to chose from. I did not see any on CC, however it was packed due to rain so I could have missed them. I collect ornaments from all of our vacations..

we also found some in each of the ports (i buy one for each kid each year, they are packed away until they get their first "place of their own"-that way there's no excuse for them not to have a tree).

Yes there are, we have several. There are also ornaments in the other ports. We always purchase Christmas ornaments from places where we've traveled. It's great when they are all on the tree and we can remember the great vacations we've had.

I bought the Christopher Radko designed (blown glass) ornament of the ship -- a bit pricey ($20) which was the most expensive one I saw. They had a small variety of other ornaments as well -- all are Disney Cruise Line Specific -- which is what I wanted. I bought each of my boys a lesser expensive DCL ornament for their collection (I wasn't interested in plain Disney ornaments, I can get those anywhere) -- I'm sure by the time you cruise they will have a better selection since it's so close to the holidays! We sailed in Feb.

My sister bought the Christopher Raiko blown glass one of the ship. She had the Captain sign it! It is really beautiful...I am not leaving the ship this time until I have one!!! :Pinkbounc Leaving in three weeks

I have one of the Radko ornaments - it sits on my desk at work much of the year. I have an ornament stand and swap them out but that one is by far my favorite. I also have a flat, round china one from the Magic that has a year on it - that is also out all year round.

I've been passing on buying the Radko ornament for several cruises now, but now I must have one, too.

Hi All, Im afraid I am a real christmas fiend, i wish it was christmas everyday :goodvibes .
Anyway we will be travelling in a few weeks, will they have any christmas decorations for sale then? or do they just stock up nearer the holiday season?
Thanks

We sailed last May and I bought one then and had the capt. sign it.. I am planning on doing that again this cruise.

I took a couple of extra baggage tags. One or two of each character. Then laminate them and use them for Christmas. They look great on the tree.

Thanks for all of the great info. I can't wait to do a little shopping. It sounds like the Christopher Radko ornament would make a nice Christmas gift for the friends and family who will be sailing with us!

Thanks!

Every time we go on vacation, we try to get an ornament. Here's what we do with them...
We buy an ornament that is "signable." When we get home, everyone in the family signs the ornament in permanent ink, and if it is big enough, writes one or two words about their favorite vacation event. DCL has a nice round flat one that worked great for us the last cruise. I love taking them out every year. It's so fun to look at my kid's signatures from when they were very little, and as they have grown. :goodvibes
