Hi Everyone

I am thinking about planning a trip for our family next year. I have been there for Halloween, Easter and Thanksgiving. Now we are thinking about going for christmas. I am taking my 2 year old daughter at the time and my 19 year old son. Which time would you pick and why?

Thank you..... Nancy:love:

I say Btwn Thanksgiving and Christmas. Around the first week in December. The crowds won't be to bad and the decorations are up and Christmas is abound in the World. The weekends will still be busy, so i would plan around that, but the weekdays will be nice and SLOW. Oh' and the weather will be enjoyable as well. Not to hot, or to cold.
Best time IMO

The two weeks prior to Christmas are wonderfully uncrowded! We usually choose this time to go. Once Christmas hits, it is crazy...we avoid Christmas to New Years at all costs. Its a beautiful time to go. We can never decide if we want to go for Halloween or Christmas, so we just do both. Have fun!

If you want to be In Disney ON a holiday I would pick Halloween. It is WAY less crowded than Christmas or Thanksgiving. I refuse to go into the parks on a holiday. But I will tell you that I am ALWAY ON Disney Property during all the peak hoildays. I just stay at the resort. It is just useless to go into the parks...too many people....too many lines.
But Halloween is different. I ALWAYS go on Halloween! Its wonderful! I love doing the Not So Scary Halloween party. It is not that crowded since they limit the amount of tickets they sell. I also love how they give out candy and how everyone is dressed up. Even the resorts are WAY less crowded than Winter holidays.

Regardless, have fun!:laundy:

We are going at Christmastime 2 years in a row and it is beautiful and festive, but I prefer to be cozy at home at Christmastime and I really can't wait to try Halloween. It is still swimming weather, you can time your trip for the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP. The swimming is important to the kids, so I am looking forward to "guaranteed swimmin' weather"!

We are going this year for the 4th time at Christmas. We actually head down on Dec. 26 and stay until Jan. 4. My dh and I are both teachers so this is the only time we can go during the holidays, and yes, while it is VERY crowded, we still love coming at this time. The weather is so comfortable for walking around the parks. We have been to Disney so many times that the crowds don't bother us. We are not on an agenda to accomplish things. We just do whatever we can fit in without rushing ourselves and always figure there is next time. We also love going to the candlelight processional at Epcot. This is always our special treat on our wedding anniversary(Dec.28). I have also found that although it is crowded, people are overall in just a better mood at this time(less cranky people). It must be the cooler temperatures and the holiday spirit. I would say going during the Christmas holiday season is definitely worth trying once.

We just got back and really enjoyed MNSSHP, but December is our most favorite time of year to be in Disney! It is the only holiday that is celebrated with decorations at ALL the parks and resorts. The trees at each of the parks are amazing! There are special events offered during the Christmas season - like the CP and Osbourne lights - that are just wonderful. Walking around the parks listening to Christmas music is really neat. And the weather, at least the times, we've been there, has been perfect!
