First of all, I hate split stays. But since we somehow snagged 3 nights in a BCV studio, followed by 4 nights in a BCV 1 BR, followed by 1 night in a BWV 1 BR it was worth it.

We arrived on December 27 just before 10:00p and got our resort mugs and then headed to our room to get unpacked and relax before dozing off.

The first morning was Magic Kingdom. We drove our rental car to the TTC and would return it after we were done at the park. We had great luck at MK and rope dropped Pan and got several rides done, all before 9:30 in the morning (it was a 7:30 opening). Great....let's go back to the TTC and get the rental car over to Alamo. Hmm....the express monorail is roped off......so is the ferry boat. So we started on the long walk to the TTC and explored the new tower along the way. Once finally getting to the car we headed to Alamo and returned it and hopped in the shuttle to go back to BCV. Took all of 2 minutes to drop it off and get in the shuttle.

I honestly don't remember a lot of specifics of the rest of the trip, but we focused mostly on Epcot and HS. We did Multipass every day and found it worth the money even if there was not a lot to choose from mid-day. We also did the quickservice dining plan for the first 2 parts of the split and "beat" it by a good $100+. Didn't expect that to happen.

Now, onto the changeover days. On changeover day #1 we went to the Beach Club lobby at 6:15a (we were going to AK) and had them check us out and she immediately assigned us a new room. It was unoccupied already but needed to be cleaned. We got the room ready text at 11:06 a.m. For a 1 BR to be ready that early I was quite happy. Then on changeover day #2 we wheeled our luggage to the Beach Club lobby and made sure they checked us out. This was at about 6:30a. We then wheeled our bags over to Boardwalk to get checked in. Same deal -- they got us an unoccupied room that needed to be cleaned. They were confused how we got to the resort w/o going through the security gate at the front, so we had to explain that bit. At any rate, that room was ready at 11:02a. If splits always go that way I would have no problem with them.....

Wow, you got really lucky with your check in times! Especially since it was such a busy week.
