We just had our christmas lunch at work, one of the girls arranged for everyone to go to the local toby carvery, whihc was lovely. Some people did some quizzes for every table and we had a raffle too. I didn't win though
The only trouble is now that I don't particularly want to be here working and could do with just going straight home to sleep. I am soooooo full!
I've just got back from my Christmas Indian Lunch - an all you can eat buffet!
I'm so stuffed I can't move! I lost count of the the number of poppadums I had, and then after 3 trips to the buffet I was stumped
Was planning to go into Leicester afterwards to do some shopping, but I was too full, and apart from that I couldn't get to the park 'n' ride due to an accident
Tim, where did you go for your 'all you can eat buffet' ? We usually go to the Rugger Tavern in Attleborough which is very nice. But I know there's a nice Indian restaurant on the A5 in Hinckley, but I've never been.
Although I really love a traditional Turkey dinner, I'm also a bit partial to Indian and Chinese food.
Mandy -I work in Leicester (so spoilt for choice of good Indian restaurants ), so we tried a new place along Narborough Road called Barcode. Not too bad for £10
Never heard of an Indian on the A5 in Hinckley. There is the Chinese next to Aldi, just before the Longshoot. Do you mean the Simla along Coventry Road?
Tried the Simla a few years ago, and it's very nice, if a little pricey.
My favourite in Hinckley is the Moonrise Tandoori, Holliers Walk. The owner is so friendly and always remembers you when you go again. The ladies get a flower when they leave too
