We are cruising in October, and I was considering trying to get a good formal family picture to use in our Christmas cards. My question is, do they sell Photo Christmas cards or just Christmas cards in general, and do you think they would have them out in October?

The photo's that are taken of you on board..you can use in your hometown at any walgreens, walmart, whoever makes christmas cards.

All you have to do is take your favorite photo, plus the release form to the photo shop and you are good to go. Much better than paying high prices to have them all done on board.

We cruised in October last year and I went ahead and had them do the Christmas cards. They really weren't that expensive I didn't think. It was really cute with the ship. I think it was about $30 something for 50 cards. They are more of a scanned image than what you would get from a reprint at Walmart but I really wanted the ship this time so I splurged. I didn't want to get into a copyright issue with the ship pictures. I did print off the copyright release when I made some copies at Sam's but it does say you can use it for only 1 picture or 1 copy or something. The guy looked at me funny but allowed me to do it. I needed a copy for each of the kids' scrapbooks!! :goodvibes
