I am really missing going to WDW during the holidays. We always went when my children were younger:cloud9: But it seems like it gets so much colder in winter now than it did years ago. I can remember even going to the water park at least once.

Now with my grandchildren the last time we went during the hilidays was about 10 years ago and we had to buy wool hats when we were there. I no it can be hit or miss, and sometimes you can hit it lucky. I also think the fact that we lived in Jersery 15 yrs ago and Florida was always warmer than there. Not the case now that we are in Texas..maybe our blood has thinned out LOL:confused3

Anyway to get to my long winded question. I was thinking maybe November may be a little warmer and my grandkids could still get to swim and enjoy the decorations. How early do they put up the Christmas decorations?

Christmas decorations start going up in November and are usually in place by Thanksgiving. It seems that resorts are decorated first then parks.

Yes, weather this time of year can be hot or cold. November is usually a very pleasant month.

Happy planning. ;)

We've spent our last three Christmas at WDW. We stay the week before and the week after up until New Years. Only once was it really cold and that was New Years Eve of our second visit. I think the feeling of cold is relative to where your from and what your used to. We leave the ice and snow of the midwest to enjoy Christmas at WDW. We find the weather comfortable while we'll notice other guests bundled up in parkas with the hoods up. What we think of as unseasonably warm others may find it freezing. I guess that's why we found we had the quiet pools all to ourselves. I think the pools are heated. At least they felt like it.

While I understand the whole, "I want to be warm in FL" mindset, I feel that Dec has some of the best weather of the year. They're having a cold spell down there now, but I would rather it be in the 60's in Dec for the Christmas feel, than in the 80's in Nov. That being said, you really never know what you're going to get in Dec. We've been when it's been in the 80's and we've also been when it's been in the 40's at night. I prefer the colder weather though, especially while walking through the Osbourne Lights!

I would not be concerned about the weather. It may be cold in the morning but it does warm up in the afternoon. We go every Christmas and have done so for over 30yrs. We love it there at that time of the year. The Christmas/Winter holiday decorations go up around the second week of November. This year they stared on November 15th and they will stay up until about January 5th.

I think last week in Oct to 1st 2 weeks in Dec or late April through May is the best weather.

I love going anytime, but I do miss swimming while staying at the BC in Dec! :)
