Is it worth a visit to Port Orleans French Quarter to enjoy the holiday decirations? We enjoy the monorail resorts and Wilderness Lodge but are thinking sime other resorts may br worth a visit.

Don't know about POFQ, but Beach Club has a life size chocolate carousel with hidden Mickey's to find, and I think Yacht Club has a gingerbread train display maybe?(have not made it there yet). It is a nice detour outside the International Gateway while at Epcot. AKL is also beautiful and a short hop from AK if you are heading there. There is a Christmas 2016 thread on here that might give more info.

They put exponentially more effort into decor at Deluxes than at Mods.

The Epcot resorts are worth a stop. And Animal Kingdom Lodge is very nicely decorated, too.

Its been a few years since I was at Disney World during Christmas season. We visited Grand Floridian (life size Ginger bread house with bake shop), Boardwalk had an amusement park display with Santa riding a roller coaster, Yacht Club had a model train display and the Beach Club had a large tree display with character photo op at certain times of the day.

I'd focus on the Epcot resorts next. They aren't as elaborate as the monorail resorts but still have nice touches. Also, check out Animal Kingdom Lodge for some interesting decorations if you have time.

A few years ago we visited the Boardwalk resort (I think??)and there gingerbread house had Stitch on the roof. Do they still have this?

We like to visit the Epcot resorts too, checking out all the decorations, snacks and just to enjoy the festive ambience of the area. 15 days and counting until I am immersed in it all again :yay::santa:

The tree at Coronado Springs is GORGEOUS. I was completely shocked by how massive and how well done it was. Plus, right outside is a nice seating area to look out at the lake and have a drink!

I was just going to post this. The lobby is stunning, all understated elegance. The common areas are gorgeous, all impeccable decorated. Very pretty and festive.

OP- I like POFQ decorations, and if you are heading out for a beingnet, or in my DGD case, needed to show "Pa" her favorite resort so why not go for lunch? Then make the trip. I woudl nto head to moderates for decorations unless you have a lot of time, or have a reason to check one out.

I would hit all of teh Epcot Reosrts. They are lovely. I woudl make time to go to AKL. It is gorgeous. WL..you bet! And I would try to plan the monorail resorts in the late afternoon so that I could spend time in the Grand Lobby enjoying the Grand Pianist or later still, the Grand Orchestra.
