I was wondering which (if any) restaurants are open in the Hilton Head/Savannah area on Christmas day. We will be staying at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, so somewhere close would be nice..

Thanks Alot For All The Help

The Hilton has a wonderful Christmas Day buffet that we've eaten at--plus, it's close to the resort.

Not sure if they do this for Christmas, but for Easter the resort offers a full meal brought to your villa. They sent us a mailing about two weeks before check in that had a fax-back menu attached. The menu included two size options (a meal for 4 or 6 people) with two choices of entree and assorted sides. Cost was about $15 or $20 a person.

We did not get this, but I understand its a ton of food.

I would guess that the Westin and the Holiday Inn probably have buffet dinners available as well...

I would suggest you plan this one carefully, as I had it backfire badly on me one visit.

The resort usually does the meal that they will deliver to your villa. It is a bit expensive, but convenient.

Local stores such as Piggly Wiggly, also do meals that include turkey or ham and trimmings at about 1/2 the price from the resort.

Not very many restaurants are open. The Hilton Head Diner IS usually open and I don't recommend it for Xmas dinner. The aforementioned hotels dining restaurants are usually open, if that's the kind of thing you are looking for.

If you have something larger then a studio, eating at the villa is preferable to me. I find it is actually more fun to stay home at the resort during a holiday at HH. :wave2:
