We made some mistakes in our life
and now we have about $4,000 woth of credit card debt. It's at 0% interest right now (I think for 6 more months) and we've been making payments on it.
I wasn't going to work in the Fall semester (we're expecting), but I was offered an online class to teach from home. Salary - $4,000
Of course, some of that money will go to taxes, but we've been living on my husband's salary for so long that I don't see why we'd need to spend that money on living expenses. It's not like it will cost me any gas, clothes, materials to teach this class (I've taught online before).
So now it's looking like we might be credit-card debt free by Christmas!!
I would love to not say anything to my husband just surprise him with a note under the tree. He LOVES Dave Ramsey and would like that gift more than anything else
We've got no student loans and no vehicle debt, so all that would be left is a bit of medical debt (less than a thousand) and our mortgage ($94,000
). I'm so excited this is possible before the baby comes in February (and we have an FSA card so hopefully no new debt from that one!!).
