Christmas Fantasy Parade direction?

Hi-
We are heading to Disneyland this weekend. Planning to catch the Christmas Fantasy Parade in its second showing on Saturday (3pm). Anyone have any idea which direction the parade goes? Does it start on Main Street or in Fantasyland at that point?

It alternates. You need to know what direction it went the time before so ask ahead of time. We saw it last Wednesday for its only showing and it started at Small World. I wanted to watch the next day and see it come the same direction, but it was starting on Main Street that day for its only run.

When I saw the second show, it started at Main Street and ended at Small World.

I would ask the parade route CMs which way the parade will be coming; they should know. I saw it last week on Mon, Tue, and Wed and it started at IaSW and ended on MS for those days (one parade days). My guess is that it normally starts at IaSW for the first parade of the day, but things might happen in the night that prevent them from resetting the parade back to IaSW.

That's so strange. On Thursday I was told by two separate parade CMs it was starting on Main Street.

I'm here right now. One parade today at 3:30 and it's starting on Main Street and ending at IASW. I'm waiting in line for popcorn and a CM told me it takes approximately 20 minutes to get from one end to the other.

Here now. Saw yesterday’s 1pm and it started from IASW. Caught a glimpse of second parade and it of course started from Main Street.

When there are two parades and things are normal, the first parade leaves from IASW, and the second leaves from Main Street. That's because the overnight "storage" is on the IASW end. When there's only one parade, or occasionally the day before or after a "one parade" day, it can be different. Theoretically they run the parade back to IASW after the park closes, but that doesn't always happen.

Moral of the story, I ALWAYS check with CMs to be sure I know where the parade is coming from, but it's pretty predictable.
