Christmas Excitement!

I don't remember being this excited for Christmas in many, many years. Tomorrow I get to surprise DD18 with a January trip to AKL and I can hardly wait. I just know she is going to be soooo happy! We haven't been back to WDW in more than three years and then it was with my fiance (now husband) and she was more of a child, now she's a college freshman and I feel like its our first adult trip, she and I.

I'd be excited too!! I cannot think of a better present! We're going in March, and this Christmas we did not exchange gifts (my parents and I) because Disney at Easter is our Christmas present!

Just got home at 10 pm and guess what arrived? Our Magicbands, two days earlier than the expected delivery date She is a spanish minor in college so hers says "Hijateamo" and mine "Bestmadre"... I don't think I'll sleep tonight LOL

Was a great surprise! She started crying and is as excited as I hoped she'd be. Its been a tough first semester for her at college (grades are fantastic but having a hard time finding her tribe so to speak) and I think this will really put her in a great frame of mind for semester #2. She's flying directly back to school in upstate NY from MCO with a day to spare before classes begin. On the downside, DS25 who I flew home for three days to spend the holidays with him seemed a bit disappointed and pointed out several times that he hasn't been to WDW for many, many years. Maybe he's passed that "I'm too old for family vacations to WDW" and into the "Wow, being with sis and Mom might be fun at WDW" stage....my guilt didn't last long, he's headed to HI on Tuesday with his girlfriend for two weeks. As a gift to them, her mother upgraded their airline to first class seats and their economy car rental to a Jeep Wrangler, lucky him. I hope everyone else had a great holiday as well.
