I am just wondering if anyone has ever managed to get into St Patrick's Cathedral for the midnight service on Christmas eve.
It states on the website that you need tickets but I am having trouble finding information on when or how to apply for tickets.

Hi Anne

Information is very hard to find but the website also states they are unsure of the configuration of seating due to restoration works so seating may not have been released as yet. The Tripadvisor site also states that tickets are usually released Aug/Sept.

If it is important can I suggest you email them and ask. The worse they can say is that all tickets are gone. spctrojas@saintpatrickscathedral.org is the general inquiry email address.

Even in that case someone on Tripadvisor also wrote they were able get 2 tickets after talking to the administration office and explaining how far they were traveling to attend the service. Also if you belong to a parish here in Australia is to get your parish to email St Patricks and request some tickets on your behalf. There is usually a degree of let say "professional courtesy" between parishes.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I have sent them off an email. I always go to the service at my local church each year so getting them to email might be a great option.
I have followed them on twitter and facebook incase they do any annoucements on there as well.

I emailed and got a reply to say that it is all sold out - there are other services throughout the day though - tickets go before Labor Day (us) which is first weekend in September
