Christmas Eve/Day menu. What’s on the your holiday menu this year? Christmas Eve, we are planning some appetizers (potato skins, fruit cocktails, cheese and cracker platter) and a fish stew. Christmas Day is going to be a roast beef with classic sides and a salad. I’m thinking ham for New Year’s Eve…🤔😋

Christmas Eve lunch we go to my aunt's house - she will have ham and turkey and everyone will bring a side.
Christmas Eve dinner we usually go out to eat - although this year with the labor shortages, I wonder if our regular favorites will even be open for dinner on Christmas Eve. I will have to call ahead of time and find out

Christmas Day breakfast I will cook a big breakfast at home.
Christmas Day dinner we will go to another aunt's house and have a big pasta dinner - my cousin always makes homemade fettucine alfredo.

Christmas Eve is always appetizers and desserts while we open presents.

Haven’t decided on Christmas Day, but knowing my moms wishes it’ll be Thanksgiving dinner all over again. I’d rather do ham or beef.

Christmas Eve we put out rolls, ham, roast beef, a variety of cheese, pickles, olives etc. with homemade cookies for dessert.

Christmas Dinner is prime rib, crab legs, DH’s twice baked potatoes and a roasted or grilled veggie, usually brussel sprouts, asparagus or green beans. Sometimes a combo of those. Desert is usually Apple Pie.

Depending on schedules those might get flipped or done on a different day. DH has to work nights for both this year and DD will be here next week so we will do dinner then. I’ll make a couple of steaks for myself and the kids on Christmas unless they choose something different.

We are going to change things up a bit on Christmas day - we usually have roast duck but this year we are doing veal parm w/ pasta. As far as Christmas Eve goes it's usually a very casual 7 fishes type of menu, although exactly what has yet to be decided.

Christmas Day is always the Christmas story - the Peking Duck feast (except we eat in, and I add a homemade fruit salad).

Christmas Eve - I'm not sure yet. My kids are singing the 4pm, b/c there aren't enough young kids in the choir, so the older group is joining for the Christmas Mass. We haven't gone to this Mass in years, so I'm not sure how we'll handle dinner. I may do a "poor man's" 7 fishes...I may do an apps spread...I may do smoked salmon BLTA sandwiches and dips with fruits/veg/chips (aka, out of the fridge in 10 minutes after Mass). I'm honestly not sure. It will probably depend the most on the current covid/flu spread in our area - I won't go to a "mob scene mass" (as we call the overflowing, out the door, people turned away, ones here) with my health if either of those illnesses are widespread in my area. Instead, I'd stay home and watch my kids and the Mass. If I stay home, dinner is much easier and has many more choices.

Growing up Christmas Eve was always spaghetti. My Uncle & Grandma were there and my mom decided that it was a quick and easy. We didn’t do anything special Christmas Eve. We only celebrated on Christmas

Christmas has been roast beef, roasted potatoes, veggie or salad and rolls for as long as I can remember.

Christmas Eve - who knows, it's usually just my parents, sister, and I. A couple years ago we had Steak-Umms. When I was a kid we went to my paternal grandmother's house and had a big Polish feast, but that hasn't happened since she died in '05.
Christmas Day is another turkey dinner holiday.

Christmas Eve will just be six of us so I am making a NY Strip Roast with some yummy sides. Christmas Day I am hosting my entire family of 23 so we will have apps all day then a buffet dinner of Spiral Ham, Mashed Potato casserole, Turkey Breast, Lasagna, Chili, Meatballs, Rolls, Fontina Mac and Cheese and salad.

Desserts will be chocolate cake, cookies, brownies, red velvet and carrot cake.

We don’t do anything on Christmas Eve. I think we’re going to have a Christmas lunch around 1 this year and I’m doing ham, crockpot hash browns, macaroni and cheese, corn, green beans, homemade applesauce and rolls. Nothing fancy. Just us with our son, daughter-in-law and 3 granddaughters. For dessert I’m making ice cream with lots of toppings.

I love to see what everyone eats for the Holidays!

We are with my parents for Christmas Eve this year and mom says we are having honey baked ham and turkey, macaroni and cheese and baked beans.

Christmas Day we celebrate with my in-laws this year and my sister in law hosts and makes a ham, mashed potatoes, corn, carrots, Cole slaw, 7 cups fruit salad, rolls…the whole sha-bang!

I host New Year’s Day at my house for both families (usually end up with 18-25 guests) and I make a giant pork roast with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, sautéed sauerkraut and dumplings, corn, roasted carrots and roasted Brussels sprouts. We do make your own cookie or brownie sundaes for dessert and have cake for my daughter in laws birthday

Not sure what family will be around for Christmas Eve but for Christmas Day we are doing Chinese Food. That has been our tradition for the last few years. The family comes over in their PJs and we lounge around watching TV and grandkids play with toys and we order Chinese Food. I usually make a big Christmas morning breakfast with homemade cinnamon rolls, homemade apple turnovers, bacon and eggs or French toast casserole.

We used to go to my aunt/uncle's house on Christmas Eve for an open house...we always had lots of food and good times.

MMMMMMMMMMMM pasta! Yum!

Chirstmas Eve:
Baked Ziti, Salad, Garlic Bread, & Cookies.

Christmas Day:
Cinnabon Mini Cinnamon rolls, bacon, deviled eggs, shrimp ring, pimento cheese dip with sliced veggies, hot bean dip n chips.

New Year's Eve:
Always takeout Chinese.

I do a homemade lasagna on Christmas Eve, and we have leftovers Christmas Day. We don’t always get to celebrate on the day itself though due to family working in the travel industry. This year will probably be sometime in early January. The latest we have celebrated Christmas so far was MLK weekend one year.
