Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner, where?

We have CP and Tutto Italia on Christmas Eve, and Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch on Christmas Day. Because we've heard how crowded it can get in the parks on Christmas Day, we'll probably just tour the hotels on that day. :santa:

Just booked last minute - TODAY - not like me at all!
I only made a dinner booking for Christmas Day - Jiko. Tried for Narcoosee's and Artist Point but neither had any openings. I'll be on the phone in the morning to find something for dinner Christmas Eve and brunch Christmas morning. Any suggestions? I can't believe we're doing this at the last minute!

We will be at Jiko for Christmas dinner too! We are at Boma on Christmas morning.

I still can't believe we managed such a good ADR - 5:55 on Christmas Day. Do you know if they do anything different with their menu for Christmas? This is our first time going this time of year so I'm learning as I go here!
We're staying at WL for that Christmassy feel - still trying to decide how Santa will do his magic. Our eldest already has us figured out but our little guy will be worried...
Read through your trip report by the way...sounds great so far! Do you go to the Candlelight Processional? Do you book the dinner package for the better seating or just "wing it"?

This is our first time to eat at Jiko for Christmas dinner so I am not certain if they do something special or not. On AllEarsNet.com (http://allears.net/menu/men_christmas.htm) there is nothing mentioned about a holiday meal there in past years. That could change though!

We have stayed at WL and I loved it at Christmas. We always have Christmas trees for the rooms and decorate them in themes from the resort where we are staying. We decorate them together as a family.

And Santa always mails packages to the resort with the trees, ornaments, wrapped presents, wreaths for the doors and stockings to pull out after little ones go to sleep. Our younger DD never caught on until she was 10 or so (she is now 22)! We simply told her to tell Santa in her letter where she would be and that he would find her. All you have to do is pull everything out of the box and put them by the tree after they are asleep. And we hang the stockings on the bedposts if there are any.

The year we were at WL I had those tall, Alpine trees in each room. I had ornaments from Oriental Trading Company (black bears, red cardinals, tin stars and bells. And I always buy ribbon or beads that go with the theme too:

As for the Candlelight Processional... we have gone numerous times and love it. We have always bought the package for Christmas Eve. However, in the past couple of trips we opted to skip the CP since we could enjoy the music as we walked around the World Showcase and enjoyed the holiday feel. We often get FPs for rides we wouldn't normally ride and hand them out to families as we walk too! We LOVE going to WDW at Christmas. I hope you have as much fun as we have had over the years. The memories are priceless.

We are doing the CP at LeCellier for Christmas Eve.. Then Christmas Day we are having an earlier tea at the GF and then a later dinner at Artist Point. Can't wait! :)

Christmas Eve we will be eating dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe.
Christmas Day will be eating breakfast at Crystal Palace and dinner at Libert Tree Tavern.
We will also be eating at Coral Reef on the 23rd as part of the Candlelight Processional package. Steven Curtis Chapman will be there that night. It should be great!

I called this morning to add to my ADRs:
Christmas eve - Chefs de France 6:45
Christmas morning - Whispering Canyon Cafe 10:40am
Christmas dinner - Jiko 5:55
Not bad for last minute! Couldn't get Candlelight Processional for any time so I'll call every few days or so to see if something opens up. Most likely something will at the 45 day mark as cancellations go through. We might still try for Artist Point for Christmas dinner - since we're staying at WL.

we were kind of last minute bookers also, but we were able to get CP for Christmas Dinner, still working on other ADR we have never been at Christmas either so we are excited.

Christmas Eve- Tepan Edo CP package

Christmas morning- Chef Mickey's and Christmas Evening at 1900 Park Fare

Cannot wait!!:santa: :santa: :santa:

We fly into orlando on 12/25 for our stay at CSR but our package doesn't start until the next day. So we have resvs at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD for Christmas dinner!!! Never been - can't wait!!! :santa:
